Excellent for retro games preservation
Excellent for removing corrosion and conditioning the pins on retro games. Iโll definitely be buying more of this going forward.

It's worth the money!
Yes it's expensive, but........ Nothing else on the market works as well as this stuff does, nor as fast as it does! I've tried nearly every contact cleaner and keep coming back to this. Gladly paying the price of entry. I would not spend the money if it didn't perform! It's really good stuff and is worth what it costs!

Great stuff!
This stuff is great for cleaning contacts and old game cartridges. It also provides some lubrication and works well in chip sockets - it helps the chips go in and seat properly. This is a standard part of my arsenal for restoring old consoles and cartridges.

DeoxIT D100L-25C With Precision Needle Applicator Really Works
I used this on an old WWIIโera military surplus variable coil with silverโplated parts. Before cleaning, the coil was extremely intermittent and felt rough while adjustingโI wasnโt even sure it could be saved. After applying just a couple of drops of DeoxIT D100Lโ25C, the adjustment became perfectly smooth and every intermittent issue disappeared. For something thatโs been sitting around since World War II, thatโs impressive. Donโt be fooled by the small bottleโa tiny amount goes a long way.

This Stuff Really Got the Job Done!
I needed this so that I could clean out the pots on my electric guitar's volume and tone knobs and pickup selector. They were getting really scratchy-sounding. I did my research on how to solve the problem, and I found out that I needed some contact cleaner. I first tried some of CRC 05101 QD Electronic Cleaner - 4.5 Wt Oz. because I found it in the house. I thought that it worked at first, but after a while the problem seemed a little worse than before. I then did more research, and I suppose that what I used wasn't quite the right solution. It's also possible that the problem got worse because I put the solution into the pots at the wrong spot. Anyway, I found this solution after more research, and it works like a charm! The volume and tone knobs and the pickup selector have absolutely no static, scratchy noises, or anything else. Now, I don't have to cringe when I need to turn up my volume or change the tone or move to a different pickup. Also, I really like the needle applicator, since it helps with applying the solution in small openings and such. Maybe the first solution would've worked if I'd applied it correctly, but either way I know that this one definitely does work. The only reason that I'm giving this four stars instead of five is that it seems a little bit too expensive.

Good for sliding contacts
I like to refurbish old test gear-- a Heathkit oscilloscope, a Simpson 260 voltmeter, etc. A common problem is intermittent connections from dirt and tarnish on the switch contacts. A lot of problems go away when potentiometers, connectors and switches are cleaned up and tarnish-free. I use a variety of different cleaners-- isopropyl alcohol, inexpensive aerosol contact cleaner, or even something like Brasso on heavily tarnished brass or copper contacts. When I'm done cleaning, I add a drop of D100 to add lubricity and keep the contacts from tarnishing again. There is a great deal of debate regarding which cleaner, if any, to use on which contacts. In my case, by the time I get my hands on a piece of old test gear, I'm usually trying to undo years of neglect or outright abuse. I usually have very little to lose by adding a drop of D100. The only thing I definitely won't use it on is some of the low tension gold-leaf contacts in some older Tektronix oscilloscopes. Tek specifically says to use nothing but isopropyl alcohol on these, so that's what I'll do when I finally get around to restoring the 7000-series mainframe scope that is patiently waiting its turn. Everything else, including the bazillion socketed transistors inside that scope, will get a drop of D100. Yes, Deoxit is expensive, but a little goes a long way. I buy the needle applicator bottle because it's 100% contact cleaner with no propellant. I find the needle applicator wastes less (no overspray) and makes it easier to apply just a small drop where needed. The bottle I bought a couple of years ago is still 80% full, and I've used it a fair amount. I still keep some cheap aerosol contact cleaner (my go to is the WD40 aerosol from Home Depot) around for doing the bulk of the initial cleaning, but the final step is almost always to add a drop of D100.

DeOxit
Amazing product, expensive but worth the money, use it sparingly, mix it with Isopropyl alcohol to use on model railway track and rolling stock wheels.
