They are already using it and I'm SO happy with it!! I already had a water fountain in the kitchen by their food bowls and my biggest issue with it is that it makes SO MUCH NOISE!!This fountain, on the other hand, is so quiet the only noise I hear is coming from the stream of water pouring out of it and the occasional clucking sound from when the cats are using it. It's sitting pretty close to my office chair btw, definitely within 3ft so I'm impressed, to say the least!A big con, something I had missed while researching this item, is that the water reservoir doesn't come apart, so I won't ever be able to clean it properly. Taking 1 star off for this reason. I guess I can run some white vinegar solution through the machine every now and then but I don't appreciate the hassle and would much prefer to be able to scrub it down properly.Other than that, the light function seems a little redundant. I'm pretty sure my cats will be able to find the water stream in the dark using their eyes and ears (plus my house is never pitch black). They never had an issue with my other fountain which has no light.Overall I'm very happy with my purchase though. It's easy to assemble and just works. My cats didn't take to it right away because of the light, but I turned the light off and now they're using it regularly.
