Nike Men's Air Monarch IV Cross Trainer

I've been a pharmacy technician for over 25 years (both retail & hospital)....which means I'm on my feet all day long. Nike Air Monarchs ARE THE ONLY SHOES that get the job done for me. Over the years, I tried various other brands (some cheaper, some more expensive)...but none compare to the Air Monarch. They are well worth the money and if you can catch them on sale on Amazon....even better. There is one caveat however -and to some people it may be a deterrent- they have a tendency to squeak rather loudly as you walk. This hasn't happened in ALL the pairs I've owned...but it has happened in a lot of them. Because they are "AIR" Monarchs, there are cushions of air bubbles in the soles. This is what makes them so comfortable. I recommended them to a fellow pharmacy technician and he loved them....but he couldn't handle the squeaks. I went online to see if there was a solution to this problem and found that some people removed the insoles and placed powder in the shoe and re-inserted the insole. I didn't want to go to all of this trouble, so I tried foot powder or baking soda sprinkled throughout the shoes. The powder eventually works its way around and underneath as you walk. In most instances, this solves the problem. Another downside is durability. As noted above, I am on my feet all day and do a lot of walking. I'm lucky if I can get a year's use out of a pair. But for normal use, they are just fine...if you can handle the squeaking!

If you are thinking, as Nike says…JUST DO IT. My first pair of Nike in probably 20 years. Already plan to order in another color or 2. Love Love Love em. I tried on the all white in a store and 12 extra wide were really loose on my feet, so I took a chance on these 12 regular and hit a home run!If you have wider feet definitely go with the wide as regular will definitely be too tight. And the wide is wider than most shoes in wide.I went with 12. Usually 11.5. Glad I went with 12. A perfect fit. Not sure what else to say.

Love this shoe model and size because they fit properly. The only problem is that one shoe string was 56 inches and the other shoe string is 52 inches. This creates two problems: 1. The shorter string is a bit more difficult to tie due to the lack of length. 2. Once tied, the bow on one foot looks normal and the bow on the other foot looks stunted. I'm not sure why they couldn't get two shoe strings that equal 56 inches.

I purchased a pair of Air Monarchs. Right out of the box, the right shoe squeaked when I walked. I figured that the shoe needed to be "broken in" so I ignored it. It is now 2 months later and the right shoe still squeaks. I don't even need to be wearing the shoe. I can put my hand in the shoe and just by pressing on the sole will cause it to squeak. It is passed the return date so I am stuck with these. Just beware, if your new Nike squeaks, return it right away.

Super-duper happy foot comfort, but they are not as well built as they used to be a decade ago. Nike has been making these shoes since the beginning of time. They used to last a good long time, but the current day version only lasts 9 to 18 months before the glue that is used to hold the sole on to the leather upper begins to come undone. The comfort level score is still a 10, but the build quality score is a 6.

Man, does that age me or what? "Tennis shoes" is what we used to call sneakers "back in the day". My Brit friend calls hers "trainers". Anyway - these are comfortable and very well-made SNEAKERS that have got me through the past 5 years of heavy walking/exercise. I've replaced them twice, so figure that's about 18 months per pair, but I'm VERY hard on my shoes, lots of trails and things like that, as well as urban hiking. The most recent pair developed a split in the black rubber on the front of the toe, so it would allow rocks to get in if I dragged my feet while walking. A little black duct tape would have fixed it just fine, but decided it was time to break in a 3rd pair. LOVE THESE SHOES!

I wear sneakers constantly, until I put my slppers on or go to bed anyway. I didn't think they could get more comfortable. They surprised me!New Balance added memory foam to their soles. They classify these as walking shoes, which is an accurate description. With a break every once and a while I can walk quite awhile in them.

These tennis shoes are true to size.

おじさんが、若い人と同じでは抵抗があったので昔ながらのスタイルを探していました。国内で売られているダッドスニーカーに気に入ったものがなく、ネットで調べてこの商品にたどり着きました。米国からの配送になりますので時間は掛かりましたが、履き心地も良く、デザインもオーソドックスながら他では見ないため自己満足度の高い商品です。Amazonの米国サイトから購入した方が安いのですが、トラブル発生時が面倒だったのでこちらで購入しました。サイズ的には通常のナイキのサイズと同じだと思います。

Purtroppo confermo ciò che avevo letto in passato su alcune recensioni scarpe Nike: quelle MADE IN VIETNAM sono molto più rigide e con durezza devastante delle cuciture in punta che poi ti massacrano i nervi di alcune dita, tipo il mignolo, soprattutto se avete piede a pianta larga...Io con Nike (MADE IN INDONESIA) ho sempre vestito un 41, indipendentemente da lunghezza 26 o 26.5 cm riportata in etichetta.Di queste Air Monarch ho provato sia il 41 che 42:41 : calza giusta di lunghezza e larghezza ma ha questo problema delle cuciture dure in punta che dopo 4/5h che le indossi,vedi le stelle e la durezza si può facilmente sentire anche al tatto andando con la mano all'interno della scarpa,in alto, verso l'esterno del piede, dove appunto batte il mignolo42 : (mai dovuto prendere un 42 Nike) : la lunghezza (26.5) è ok anche per chi ha un 41, l'unica differenza è che nel 42 la pianta e la punta sono parecchio larghine anche per chi ha pianta larga, quindi, nel momento in cui le provi ti sembrano cmq perfette perché riesci a muovere e aprire tutte le dita proprio "a ventaglio" ma poi capisci che sono troppo larghe e col tempo si sformano prima e potrebbero allargarsi troppo e troppo presto ergo forse durare meno..Consiglio di optare sempre per i modelli "MADE IN INDONESIA" cmq, non sbagliano MAI.Proverò di applicare un cerottino di silicone per attutire la compressione della cucitura...e spero che si allarghino un po' (ho inserito e lascio qualche giorno un oggetto che sforzi un po' e ammorbidisca la punta) ...Se avete quel tipo di dita che tendono a piegarsi/arricciare le falangi verso l'alto, prendete 1 numero in più rispetto al vs abituale. Sicuramente meglio.
