This expensive adapter will not fit into a 2" PVC Sch40 elbow. The reason being is that the adapter has ridges around the circumference of the fitting as if excessive force was used to press in the wire fitting insert. Also where the drain is that has ridges too. For the price I shouldn't need to sand down all the ridges on this fitting to allow it to fit into a 2" Sch40 PVC elbow. It is either poorly manufactured or damaged prior to shipment.

Thanks 😊, just what I needed. I ordered the 2 inch. True to size, easy to install, great quality, snugged fit. Didn't need any additional parts for installation. No tape or adhesive (glue) was needed. Fits directly into PVC pipe opening. I used a rubber hammer to tap it into the PVC pipe opening and installation was done in less than 5 minutes. Highly recommended.

Exactly as promised - it is a great friction fit inside the 2" elbow where the fresh air intake comes into my new high efficiency boiler. I should be able to remove it to clean as necessary. A bit expensive for the materials, but appears to be worth it.

Small insects, Lizards etc. can get through the screen. Used as a sanitary drain vent.

2” outdoor pvc to keep rodents from crawling in my furnace outdoor air return. It fits right into a 2” pvc pipe. It’s not hard. Takes less then 10 seconds
