When stamping, make sure there is a stable & perfectly flat surface under the entire area to be imprinted. The only smears/bad stamps I had were on slightly curved or unstable surfaces. I wanted a stamp so my cat could "sign" her items without getting ink all over her paws. Works great and the resulting print is well-inked and cleanly stamps her name. The only thing I was disappointed in was the limited fonts available. Most were "printed" type fonts and she is old-school and writes her name in cursive. I would've preferred a font that was closer to her signature but the one I chose was relatively close. She has an "i" in her name and usually dots it with a little heart, and while I found a font selection on a different seller with that very thing, the rest of the signature was not "her."

This is a handy little gadget that saves me time and is fun to use. It arrived exactly as I ordered it and works great. I keep it in a plastic bag so it doesn't dry out too quickly, and I have a refill bottle of ink.
