Excellent Broth/Soup/Stew Vessel!
The WHJY 30oz Ceramic Bowl with Lid and Handle is great and much easier to hold for those of us that have very arthritic hands and grip issues. It is perfect for reheating meat or bone broths and holds enough (30 Oz capacity) for a nice meal. It alleviates having to heat in batches in smaller bowls or cups.It is super easy to clean and very sturdy. I have managed to have it slip out of my hands (due to arthritis) a couple of time while hand washing and it did not even chip! I am sure it would clean up fine in a dishwasher as well, but I prefer not to use a dishwasher.I do agree with others about the top, it really does not stay secure, but the cup alone is well worth the 5*'s!

Nice Bowl read my review and the top will work
This is a very nice Bowl I read the reviews on it after I ordered it and there was a lot of complaints about the wood not ceiling or staying on you need to treat it like a piece of Tupperware open the red lid on the top push down in the center and close the red top the top will seal like it should

The Lid Does Seal
I've seen several reviews on here that say the lid doesn't seal. That's not true. It's a bit tricky, but it does seal. You have to open the vent, put the lid on and push down, and then close the vent. The suction will hold the lid in place, and mine did not leaked when I tested it. It would be very helpful if there were some instructions in the box explaining this. The information on Amazon's website is a bit confusing, because in the photos and description underneath the item it says that the lid can be used to prevent splatters and to vent the mug. In a couple of other places it says not to put the lid in the microwave. The same company makes another mug with a lid looks identical and it says that it can be used up to 1200°. Other vendors sell a mug that looks identical and they say it can be used in the microwave. I have used mine a couple of times already and I use the lid in the microwave, and the lid has not deformed. The handle does stay cool, but the mug gets hot so you have to be careful where you grab the handle to make sure you're not touching the mug.

Good bowls
These are nice big bowls. They hold almost two cans of soup. The handle stays cool after you pull it out of the microwave. The body still gets hot as lava. It's also pretty sturdy. I dropped one on the floor and it survived. The lid however is not that great. It pops off no matter what you do.

Great ball but the lid is only OK
I love the bowl. It's perfect for having soup in. But when I try to use the lid, it does not fit very deeply onto the bowl and often springs off. And yes, I've used the vent device, it doesn't seem to make a difference to youIf you only want a bowl, this is a great deal.

Ceramic Soup Bowl
I love this cup/bowl. It is large. The description says 30oz, but 30oz starts spilling over the rim. This bowl/cup fits 24oz perfectly. Great for heating up soup, leftovers, or drinking a big ol' cup of coffee. This item would be great to fill up with candy items and use as a small office gift as well. It was wrapped very well and boxed. I would definitely recommend this item. I am very happy with the purchase.
