local stores don't carry things like this. In fact
I live in an area with a *tiny* orthodox community (as in, number of families in the single digits, plus some "modern orthodox" on the very "modern" end), so needless to say, local stores don't carry things like this. In fact, none of my friends, even Chabad rabbis and their families (which make up most of local orthodox community) had even *heard* of such a thing. So I was absolutely thrilled to find this online. It of course doesn't clean my teeth as well as a regular weekday toothbrush and toothpaste, and after 3 days (2 day yom tov on Thurs-Fri), my teeth still start to feel a bit gross, but for a regular shabbos it's great, and certainly a huge step up from nothing but mouthwash! And it lasts a very long time, apparently -- I decided to review it when I came to the page to reorder... according to Amazon, my last order was over a year ago! I will say that the first bottle I bought had a sort of a dropper on top, which the second one did not, so the liquid just pours out, rather than slowly dribbling, which is inconvenient and wasteful compared to the alternative, but I have no idea which version I'll get this time as it's been over a year, and that could just have been a one-time mistake or something. And combined with the shabbos toothbrush, which also lasts a very long time, it leaves my teeth feeling just as clean as weekdays for a regular shabbos, pretty good for a 2-day yom tov, and still bearable for a 3-day yom tov + shabbos. Plus even the most halachically careful family I know was interested in trying them, and saw no problem with it (and they're even stricter than the Chabad rabbis I know on many issues), so I think it's halachically sound.

Good product
Does the job and and in combination with the Kosher Shabbos Toothbrush satisfies the basic need. Need to be aware that the cleanless will never be as with regular toothbrush but I believe it is the best that can be reached if you don't want to violate Shabbos requirements.
