Q: can this be outdoors?? exposed to rain and wind.. will the glass hold up in an outdoor environment with no protective area to cover it?

I believe they are frosted/white. Actually at my cabin so I cannot remember which but definitely not clear. Had to return my first one because the metal framing was rusting/discoloring. It was returned and the replacement was fine.---Jeff

Yes, they can be used outdoors in direct sunlight. But if used for a window replacement be aware that it is not insulated and storm windows should be added to protect and allow for temperature control for inside the home.

Q: Where are these made?

Humm, I don't remember where they were made, but the quality is good. They are mass produced, many all the same. Still, I like mine, have it in an outdoor type shower.
