The pad itself is absorbent, but it is the flaps on the sides of the pad that is very uncomfortable. When moisture hits the flaps, it creates very sharp points in the fabric which in turn scrapes inside on skin. I could not believe what I saw when tearing away the flaps! There were sharp points that were quite visible, that was what was rubbing against my skin. See attached pictures. I highly recommend if you purchase these pads to be aware of this issue. I am going to contact the manufacturer and file a complaint.
