I got her a Birdie to put on her Keychain. We reviewed how to use it, and just knowing that she has it gives me some peace of mind. The alarm sound is LOUD. someone would definitely hear it if it went off; and I imagine it would certainly scare off a woul-be attacker. It is easy to use, but not so easy that it would accidentally be deployed. It is a great size, as it can fit in a pocket on its own, or hung on a Keychain with its key ring. This is a great gift idea for anyone, really.
