Great fit. Makes the back end look sharp. Good solid product

Wanted to maintain my 2001 Chevy 1500 so replaced the tailgate cap. First use this thing tore up. Need to replace again, need to find good quality this time! The plastic is brittle. Does not fit well, holes not aligned and size just isn’t right. The included adhesive is junk. Overall it barely earned its one star.

I ordered this part to fit a 1999 Chevy 1500 Silverado tailgate. I received a part that didn't fit! The screw holes do not match up with the holes on the tailgate!

Looks good but the tape rolls up while installing and the bolts started rusting after about a week

My complaint is that I wish they used different screws or had a cap cover for them. Drives me crazy to look at my tailgate and see the rusty screws.

Poor manufacturing, the hex head serts that go into the tailgate do not fit, and the cap itself doesn't fit right. Rather than send it back, I made it work but it took modifying the hex head inserts and wrestliing with the poorly formed plastic cap. If you don't want a hassle and a headache, buy a better cap. Would not recommend. There's a reason for the warning from Amazon that says frequently returned. I'll pay closer attention to the warning next time I purchase something.

You will have to drill out the holes slightly before pounding these in and could use slightly larger washers other than that they worked out well
