I've bought and thrown away countless phone cradles over the years due to cheap materials, bad design, etc. I've even tried suction type cradles before, and discovered quickly that they lose suction with any significant change in the weather, and that the suction cup itself would start to fall apart after just a year or two.This thing is completely different. To start, the materials are all durable and made of tough ABS type plastic.But the suction cup is the most impressive part of this thing. It is made of some type of thick, very sticky material; suction isn't even required to get the thing to stick to the windshield, and that's with the phone in the cradle (I have an iPhone 8 Plus, which is pretty heavy). In fact, peeling this cradle off the windshield is difficult; be prepared to use some muscle to peel this thing off the glass.The joint is easily adjusted with the locking nut, and you can really lockyour phone into position if you want. Your phone is held by a spring-loaded claw, which is also pretty strong, and the inside of the claw has tough rubber 'teeth' to securely hold your phone without damaging the finish/cover of your phone.I do a lot of driving off-road and down forest roads, dry creekbeds, etc. (you know, places where your drinks need lids and anything sitting on a seat ends up on the floor after flying through the air) and this cradle has handled all of it without a single issue.If you need a tough, totally reliable phone cradle for your truck, this is the one.

Purchased this on a road trip as the one we owned finally just gave out. This definitely holds up as indicated. Only downside to this, and may others, is do NOT leave it attached to the windshield unless it is fully shaded. Over time the adhesion will melt in full sun and it is difficult to remove from the windshield once this happens. A razor blade was needed to remove the adhesion, followed by adhesion remover to set on the windshield, then clean the windshield. So remove it each time you are not using it and no issues. Have recommended to family and friends.

This mount is absolutely awesome. It doesnt bounce around like most mounts do. The suction is really strong. I even moved it around a few times and still never had issues with it falling off. The one issue I did have, was that one day, out of the blue, the the jaw just snapped off. I noticed that the jaws had a loose grip on my phone and when I went to remove my phone, it just snapped. I had the mount for about 6 months when this happend.

I Purchased this for a rental car are used on the Genealogy trip in Alabama and Mississippi. The Device worked well, but I had to remove my phone from its case in order to fit inside the unit. Many times I opted not to use the unit because of that.

I bought this back in January 2020, it worked pretty good, suction was good and stayed in place. But it barely lasted 6 months before it broke.

Hubby is an OTR truck driver so we went with this when he needed a new phone mount. It works great attached to the windshield and has held up to daily use by someone who is hard on products like this. Would recommend and will purchase again when he finally does break the one he has.

It only lasted a year and then the arm broke off. It did a great job of keeping my phone secure over bumpy roads, it just didn't hold up over time.

I purchased this one for my Jeep after using my first one for over a year in my van. It has NEVER fell out of the window or even the slightest bit loose. My phone never pops out of the mount either.
