Review: Very clear; one edge of one side uses metric which could be a pain. Recently switched over to using imperial measures almost exclusively, as presumably that is the U.K. future. In the lower ranges two scales have finest divisions of sixteenths of inches and one scale goes down to thirty-secondths of inches. Property in most English speaking territories appears to be marketed in sq ft rather than sq mtrs these days. Most sheets of wood and metal tubing in the big hardware outlets are dimensioned in feet/inches (not a scientific survey…), but displayed in millimetres, so the metric edge might still be useful in limited situations, but seems superfluous, might be nice to have used that metric edge for decimal fractions of inches to use in electronics as component legs are generally in tenths of inches. I understand U.K. building standards still express many distances in millimetres (and presumably metres for edifices) so this item might not be suitable for all U.K. workers. However this would be great for furniture makers who often appear to employ inches in fabrication items and centimetres in sales literature.
