are the cups the clay come in recyclable?

Tbere is no indication on the cup that they are.

Does this clay work with molds?

yes this works with molds......it is not really a clay but you can sculpt it, or put in a mold then when left out it will harden to that shape...or you can put it back in the container and reuse it multiple times.

If I order now, will it be usable still at Christmas time?

I gave to granddaughter last Christmas (2017) and she is still using now. Oct. 2018
