This brand works better than other brands I've tried and way way better than homemade green sand. If you need high detail in your castings then this is where it's at. Works very well for all metals . It packs down rock hard with little effort and hold it's shape very well while still allowing gasses from metals, foam, wax and PLA vapors to escape. Greensand just doesn't perform near as well. I just sieved this 10lb batch in with my previous 10lbs I bought over a year ago. After about 50 uses I add 10 drops per 10lbs of any weight motor oil, mineral oil, hydraulic fluid or baby oil to rejuvenate it. All casting sands are a Little pricey in my opinion, but you get what you pay for and I'm extremely happy with this brand and so are customers. I will never switch back to any other kind and I will be buying more as needed. Im having issues with the clay falling into the mold but that is a me issue not packing the sand enough.
