Portable Chainsaw Mill 9FT Rail Mill Guide System

I have the 9’ and the 12’ of this brand I can do any combination of length up to 21’. I like the set up it does need a few upgrades to keep bolts and nuts in place. I took the wing bolts out and put in regular bolts and washers in its place. I also added nuts and washers to the leveling bolts because they rattle loose and mill hits them. I just snug them up and it has never came loose again. I don’t over tighten any nuts just snug enough to hold. The set up in pic is a 15’ log with a 17’ rail setup.

Sturdy construction and easy to put together.

Works really well. Really only thing I could say negatively is maybe little thicker rails. Nothing wrong with these just to me a tad flimsy but they are holding up as I have used them a lot

The three sections are not straight when assembled. It sags or bulges in the middle depending on where you set the support screws. It’s not easy to see without a reference and I wrecked two really nice slabs before I realized this.I ended up having to check the straightness with a board, and it takes tons of fiddling to get it setup right.The sixteen support screws vibrate and sometimes fall out when you are cutting. The butterfly screws that hold it together also loosen and fall out.

Stabbed a 16 foot log using 2 9ft sets and a connector piece. Works ok, check your settings. The chainsaws vibrations cause the settings crews to turn. Having a long level helps with getting the segments level. Take your time with the setup to avoid poor results. I have no idea what the plastic shims are for. The instructions are not much use.

Had to replace screws with heavy use. They strip and drop out. But easy to use

Disappointed and it's strength it's not a very strong unit. It just wasn't as strong as I thought it would be it did what they said it would do but not to the point where I was impressed
