many of the reviews say that it cuts the skin of the scrotum. is this just improper use or something else?

I'd have to say improper use. I've only had it a few days have used it twice in that area with no problem. I do use a guard in hard to see/reach areas iykyk.

It says 3 ball and 4 body head? How do you buy these head? It come with 2 heads.

I was ecstatic when I read this has a three ball head as the two ball head only works well on your average, run-of-the-mill scrotum.

Can you use use it to trim/shave leg hair?

It's primarily a trimmer, but I suppose you could use it to shave leg hair. It just wouldn't get as close of a shave as a razor.
