Poorly done
A collection of mediocre photos, with poor print quality, of ships that kids find boring. Not instructive at all.

Terrible book. Texts seem to have been taken from Wikipedia and images of poor quality

Its ok, but ok will not do.
The bottom line is that I expected more from a book costing nearly £15. It is a kids book, it should be fun, it should engage, it should invite to reading just by looking at it. This one does none of these things. Granted, it has many pages, covers many types of boats, and has photographs for each boat. But that would be it. Each page is essentially a photo and one paragraph of text, with the remaining half of the page left white. The boat descriptions are factual, and may be considered somehow interesting, but more for an adult that a child. It is a very dry reading, and to be honest considering the paper quality, and print quality it could have been made at home. How could it be improved? Show a big picture or preferably a drawings (kids love drawings), show some cross sections, point at certain things explaining different parts of the boats, give some numbers such as weight, speed, length (kids love numbers). make it nice, make it pretty, make it fun.Don't know how to? Look at competition, this book also from amazon : https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/1472901053/ref=cm_cr_ryp_prd_ttl_sol_1Summarising, i would not buy it again.
