My 6y.o. daughter liked the story very much. On top of that, the book comes in a very cool design with silver glittery page edges! I would like to use this opportunity re reflect on the 1-star review to this book given by Hannah Daunton here on amazon.de. First, I do invite you to read this review yourself. In short, Hannah complains that the book falls short on true facts about astronomy and that because she--Hannah--has a degree in astronomy she is worried that while this is obvious to her this might not be so to the rest of us--mere mortals. The Hannah then decides to give this book 1 star because the book misrepresents the true astronomy facts. Important to note that Hannah mentions she and her child have all other book about Isadora and they love them very much. The fact that Hannah and her child have all other book about Isadora and they love them very much is puzzling in the light of this 1-star review. So, the twisted astronomy fact is a no-no but somehow it is totally ok with Hanna that Isadora is a half vampire and a half fairy, can fly with her little black bat wings, can do magic, has as her friends among others such magical creatures as mermaid, a ghost, and a walking-talking soft toy? So it looks like Hanna's astronomy degree does not help her to see that these things are, well, do not exactly match well with the reality... I find it rather odd that anyone would criticize a book for a 5-7 old child based on the fact that it "misrepresents" scientific knowledge about astronomy when at the same time the main character of the story is a half fairy and a half vampire... This makes me thing that Hanna's review is not an honest one and that Hanna might have had some alternative goal when posting it here.
