Wish one was on a dimmer! Hard to find a uvb bulb that will fit.

This light is exactly what I needed for underbar terrarium heating and UVB in my 20 Long. For reference I keep my livingroom at around 72; and with this lamp on the opposite end of the 20 Long as my permanent thermometer, I'm getting 81 degrees Farenheit for my cool side; my infrared lasertherm is reading 94 degrees Farenheit on the surface of 2" of sand substrate. That's perfect for my sand geckos. I don't mind the design of this, either. I also really kind of appreciate the heat warning sticker that gets red when this is too hot to touch. Maybe I won't burn myself? It's probably best for 20gal or less; You could use it for something larger but you'd have to be creative; maybe if you have a really large terrarium you could make a tall hill and use this toward the top of it. At 12" it raised my ambient air temps approximately 23 degrees Farenheit.

We needed something for light and heat for our Cresties and some supplemental light and heat for our ball python and this fit the bill perfectly. I was also so pleased that this has a nice design on it because so many lights are not that attractive. This hangs about 4 inches above the Crestie tank - judge heat output for yourself based on the bulbs you buy to adjust that! Its mounted on the top of the warm side for our ball python as a supplement to the lights that came with his pvc terrarium.
