This was a quick read covering the highlights of John Paul Jones career at sea. Not bad for a nice one day read

A well written tale of John Paul Jones, who was a natural born sailor and leader. His life and love of the sea, is clearly told in this book.

Learned a lot more than I ever knew about the life of this early patriot.

This book is tripe. Don't read it if you want to know the true story of JPJ. It is filled with myths and false stories passed down through the ages. There are many untruths repeated throughout the least harmful being that Jones was an actor.Capt. John Paul Jones was a complicated and enigmatic man. His true story is much more interesting than the likes of the story told herein. If you re truly interested and want to learn about this single-minded courageous naval hero of the Americal Revolution pick up a copy of Samuel Eliot Morison's Pulitzer Prize winning book from 1959, "John Paul Jones A Salior's Biography." Meticulous research and outstanding writing. Don't waste your time with this "book."

It wasn't engaging

This was a good skim of the Biography of John Paul Jones. If you read it will make you want to read more in-depth books to get a better understanding of this man. Was he a hero, a charlatan, a pirate? so many real questions were touched upon but not any real depth answers. Yes, it was worth my time, but it was so short it was over before I realized how short it really was. At the end of the book, I had more questions than before I began.
