I bought it for its support for Python and open source. Upon connection, Windows was mounting and dismounting a COM port causing an unstable connection. I contacted support, found on the device label underneath. They said that the last batch of USB cable was not reliable and offered to ship a free high quality USB cable. The new cable solved the issue. The device's reading speed is several times faster than the keyboard emulation type UHF reader which I had before. J4210U can read 40-50 tags/second while the keyboard type reader was struggling to stay at 8-10 tags/sec, jamming the keyboad while working. This device have a dedicated USB port and does not keep the keyboard busy. The software displays the chip type, memory size, TID and EPC of the tag. EPC can be changed instantly by editing the value. Read range with large RFID tag is about 40cm tested with a long range tag.The software have advanced messaging which sends JSON message containing EPC, RSSI to a remote server, especially helpful for enterprise development. There are many other software features which I have not fully explored yet. The source code is royalty free, saves me a lot of development time. This ia a professional device so contact support when needed. The support is without question - excellent. I gave them 5 star because they stood by their product and fixed all the issues which I was facing. I paid $109 for it. A similarly featured device sold by Atlas RFID is 5 times the price of this product, search Thingmagic USB Pro, Vulcan RFID Iron USB sold at $583 and software is not free ($249). I honestly recommend this device while the price is still a bargain.

The product works very well. Initially, I had a few questions and the response from the seller was very fast and very detailed and technical. I bought another two in quantity. The application interface has a lot of features and they gave sample source code in Java which is really very helpful in customizing the application for the need. I bought a few other brands and all of those were able to read with very less distance, like when almost touching the tag to the device. This device is able to read the tags from a much longer distance, I have tried from around 30cms and it is able to read the tags. It is able to read multiple tags as well. I have tried 15 tags at a time and it was able to read all of them in multiple passes.

Garbage! Won't even scan the tag they included with the unit. Instructions are useless, software is a mess, don't waste your money!

Windows11で動作します。python3.11も問題がないです。サンプルタグでは10cmが読み取り限界です。ところが、メーカーに問い合わせしたところ、50cmまで読み取れるタグをサンプルで無料で送ってくれるとのことで、良い会社です。あまり、素人質問すると返事が来ませんが、sdkを読みこなせば、自分で解決できます。輸入業者様　アンテナを大きくして〜3mを実現したいのですが、このデバイスに取り付けることは出来ますか？また、jenceの適合アンテナを知りたいんですが、、
