This vacuum cuts my cleaning routine in half and works great with animal hair.
I was hesitant to make this big purchase. I'm so glad that I did. I have 2 kids, a dog (Golden Retriever), a long-haired cat, and a construction working husband. Needless to say, our house gets tracked up easily. We have a ranch style house. The main floor is 2500 sq/ft. Only the bedrooms have carpet. Everything else is vinyl flooring. Before purchasing this, I would vacuum everything then mop and bucket. It was so much work with going back and forth rinsing out the mop and moving chairs back and forth. It was always a big, long chore I was never excited about doing. I have been looking at these machines for a while and wasn't ready to invest. Mostly due to reading reviews about animal hair. I have read a lot that said it doesn't work well for that. I will say with a dog and cat that shed it does work well. I do vacuum the corners were the hair likes to collect in little dust piles first with our cordless vacuum just because I don't want to have issues with it. Thats a quick easy thing for me to do first. Then I used this vacuum and mop around the house. The first time I used it I knew our floors were dirty. It was winter and the kids and dog would track in the salt and dirt from the driveway. So, when the smart function on the machine said the floors were dirty, I would go slow over the floors and the machine goes into turbo mode. I continue over the spot until the light on the top will turn green. This used a lot of the battery because of how dirty my floors were. The battery didn't make it halfway through the house. I was a little disappointed, but I do realize the machine was running hard. I put it on the charger, and it takes a long time to charge up. I did the rest of the house later that day and it worked great. I was so surprised at how well it cleaned the floors. I like the fact that it has a dirty water and clean water tank. That way you're not using the same water to clean the floors and push the same crud around. With our larger area to be cleaned I have to empty the tank out about 5 to 6 times during moping. It's very easy to do. I dump the dirty water tank in the toilet. It has a hair collector/strainer at the top of the tank to collect all the bigger debris that gets in the tank. This is nice to just grab what's on the top and toss it in the trash and dump the rest. When you are finished you run the self-cleaning cycle and dump out the tank. It comes with a bristle brush to clean the tanks out which is really nice. I set them to the side to dry out, so I don't get a mold/musty/stinky tank. I also take the roller off the bottom and set it up right to dry evenly. The base has storage attachments to keep everything together, so nothing gets lost. I find myself moping the floors more often and house is staying cleaner. When I keep up on the moping I can do the whole house on one battery charge. If I wait a while and the floors get really dirty, I do have to stop and recharge the machine up and finish the rest after it's done charging. This works great for my dog and cat hair. I haven't had a problem with clogging or it not picking up the hair. The base just goes by a plug in our locker room out of site from everything and is sturdy. I'm so glad I purchased this, and I use it often. I highly recommend it if you have a large area of flooring that you vacuum and mop. It cuts your time in half.

Love this
I’ve been using my Tineco vacuum for a while now, and overall I’m really impressed with how well it cleans. The biggest difference I noticed right away is how much easier it makes cleaning floors—especially since it vacuums and mops at the same time. It picks up dirt, crumbs, and everyday messes with no problem, and I love how it leaves the floor looking clean without streaks or leftover water. It saves me a lot of time compared to using a regular vacuum and mop separately. It’s also really easy to use and maneuver around the house. The cordless design makes it convenient, and I like that it has a self-cleaning function so I don’t have to deal with the roller mess after every use. The only downsides are that the battery only lasts so long for bigger homes, and you do have to empty and clean the tanks regularly to keep it working its best. But that’s expected with a wet/dry vacuum. Overall, I would definitely recommend the Tineco vacuum. It makes cleaning faster, easier, and honestly a lot less stressful.

Leaky doc station, terrible unresolved issue with customer support.
I really looked into tineco before buying and I was confident that I was paying good money for a good machine however I am greatly disappointed. I am 2 months into my purchase and experence. The machine does a great job at cleaning the floors however I was pretty disappointed with the indicator that changes from red to blue when the floor is clean. This indicator seems to be extremely inaccurate considering no matter how many times I was my floors its almost alwasy red. Yeah the indicator bounces around qhite a bit switching between red and blue but never goes all blue or even close to all blue. No big deal really though I feel confident in knowing when my floors are reasonably clean. What I am most disappointed about is that the docking station leaks/overflows during the cleaning cycle. I contacted customer support and after sending my machine in for repair with my expense of packaging it up, they sent me back a machine with the same issue and now my machine is all scratched up on the side as well (not from my doing). I contacted support again to tell them my machine still had the same problem and they asked me to send it in for repair. 🤦♂️ as you can imagine I see a full circle here. Keeping in mind that ive had the machine for two months now customer support offers to replace my machine with one (and I quote) "that is 80% new". Im sitting here shaking my head saying to myself this company wants to warranty their products with a product that is surly older then the one I bought given that its only two months old surely these machines last much longer then a year. I have decided to quit dealing with the bull S customer service this company has and just keep my leaky machine that's probably like 98% new 🙄 and find some sort of tray to put the docking station in so that it won't ruin my wood floor where it sits. I won't be buying from this company again. Terrible customer support.

The Miracle Worker
For reference : I live in CA and my house is only 1,200 sq. feet. We have brand new LVP (which, if you have them, you understand how finicky they are with what’s “allowed” to be used on them), and my greatest motivation: a backyard without grass (mud and a garden) and a new German Shepherd puppy. I was at my wit’s end trying to keep up with the mud and hair this dog was bringing in daily. I was running my Roomba and Bona Mopping daily. The floors began to lose their shine and luster and layers and layers of silt and mud slowly became layered on top of my beautiful floor. I could not keep up with it! Alas, I reached out to my girlfriend who has 3 dogs of her own. She recommended the Tineco. I will NEVER live without this again. It changed my life (and I struggle with chronic pain so I’m not being hyperbolic). This thing is a game changer and worth its weight in gold. Best features/pros: - even though I vacuum first (my GSD just sheds too heavily daily to not), it doesn’t have to be great or perfect. In fact, I usually just run the Roomba and then use this. Anyway, the filter system works so well, you cannot really “accidentally” break it with too much hair. The machine will speak to you and alert you to change the dirty water tank and when dumping the dirty water you’ll be amazed at the hair it filtered without clogging! -this thing PIVOTS. I mean PIVOTS. Seems like practically 360 degrees. Your wrists don’t hurt because pivoting it is so smooth. - it is self propelled! No more aching back or pushing a mop and scrubbing super hard! I actually enjoy “driving” this around my house. -it leaves the perfect amount of water on the floor. Not too wet, not too dry. Wet enough to do the job, dry enough so the floors dry quickly -you don’t have to use chemicals or the solution made for it. You can just use plain water if that floats your boat. -it SELF CLEANS. It speaks to you and tells you when to run the self clean, along with when to remove the dirty water or clean water tank. -NO MORE mopping with dirty water - the tanks are separate -cordless. This thing self propels, pivots on a dime, and is cordless. I can now do my floors in under 25 minutes (easily). It used to take over an hour, easily. - it is the FIRST thing I’ve tried that restored my floors to their original state. It took three passes the first time, but now it’s all just maintenance. -lightweight -2 year warranty -gets super close to the wall/furniture -so smooth; glides -sleek, small design can be stored anywhere Only “cons” I can really think of: - short battery life (I can do my entire 1,200 sq. Foot home if moving quickly before recharging on base). If your house is larger, you will have to break it up. -doesn’t “scrub”. So if there’s something super stuck on the floor, you’ll have to manually wash it, but who cares at this point? - it can leak some dirty water if the tank is full and you pull it backwards too far OR if you don’t clean it when it tells you to/is clogged with hair Honestly, this thing gave me my floors and time back. I don’t even mind using it. It’s very satisfying. This machine sort of reminds me of a carpet cleaner in that you have no idea how dirty the carpet is until you dump the dirty water tank. I keep telling my girlfriends Tineco needs to give me some kick back or a sponsorship deal because since I got mine, I’ve been selling them left and right. Haha. But seriously, the machine sells itself. EDIT: Pro tip I’ve learned while using this is that if it’s having problems running, always check the “dirty water” tank lid. It has metal sensors to tell you the tank is full. If those sensors have debris or rust on them, it needs to be removed or the machine won’t run (husband had to figure that one out for me!).

Great product
I write reviews far and in-between. But this product is 100% worth a review. I bought this product because my little robot vacuum decided to go on strike and stop working. I needed something that was a no fuss due to bad knees and arthritis. I shopped Bissell/ Tineco then I saw the features of this compared to Bissell. Things I liked on this product. 1-Self propelling. The suction power has two types normal everyday and heavy for tougher stains and dirt. It will auto switch to heavy duty when needed. 2-Cleans dog hair well. With a German Shepard and a Golden Retriever it's a significant featured for me or any fur baby family. 3-Cleans floor with ease. Don't have to go over dirt multiple times. My experience is twice is enough to get dirt and debris even with dog hair. 4. Does clean floor well and dries fast. Has a bigger water tank than others. 5-Cleaning this machine is simple. It has two sections one for dirty water and another for dry debris. I like that I don't dump a bunch of dog hair down the drain. Just dump in the trash. 6- This machine has voice instructions. Tells you exactly what is going on with it and what stages of cleaning it is doing. The self cleaning mode is wonderful to maintain your machine. No more stinky rollers. You can also wifi connect. I have not used that feature. But if you like that sort of thing it has it. 7-Light weight and cordless. Who doesn't love those features. 8-Would like if the cleaning liquid had more choices for scents. I would like either lemon, lavender or Mr. Clean scent. Their cleaning product doesn't smell bad it's very mild. I just would like a little stronger to help with wet dog smell when they come in wet and muddy. This machine is more expensive than your typical Bissell wet mop vacuum. But the cleaning and ease of use is worth it. I just purchased this product so maybe I'll do a 6 month follow up. So far so good. I bought mine on sale maybe the prices will come down a little more. I would 100% recommend it. Especially, if you have fur babies.

First cleaning and I'm impressed!
First, I'd like to say that I am replacing a Bissell Crosswave (1785A) and most of my review of the Tineco S5 is in comparison to the Bissell. I wasn't happy with the edge cleaning or room transitions of the Bissell. And if I went too quickly, it would spit water out when the mop was extended and I pulled it back. I wasn't always happy with the cleaning of the Bissell in general as it seemed to leave dirty tracks quite often even after going over it repeatedly. Full disclosure, I don't clean the floor as often as I should, so the Bissell has quite a job to do. I also probably should have replaced the roller over time, but I cleaned it by hand each use and fully dried it, and it still looks like new. And I am a vinegar solution user, which is said to be a no-no, but after years of vinegar with the Bissell, I noticed no issues with the vinegar solution on the Bissell. I was just about to order a new filter and new rollers for the Bissell and got a wild hair to try something else. I opted for the Tineco S5. I really wanted the corded Steam version, but it didn't edge clean, so opted for this one. With the first use of the Tineco S5, I did vacuum first because it's spring and it's been raining and there are muddy dog prints, which were still there after vacuuming. I used the Bissell 3 days ago and cleaned the whole machine (roller, dirty water and innards of the vacuum) and went over the floor a second time and it appears that the dirt just got redistributed around the floor and it looked terrible. So the Tineco had a pretty dirty floor to clean. What I like!: Noise: The Tineco is much quieter than the Bissell. In fact most people complain that the audio prompts are too loud, but I found it hard to understand what it was telling me, so will likely up the volume in the future if I think that's useful. General cleaning: I think the Tineco S5 did a great job! I feel like it's fully clean and with less effort than I've been using with the Bissell. There were no residual tracks left by the machine, the floor dried quickly and I didn't need to go over each spot nearly as often to get it clean. I did use the included Tineco cleaner and I don't notice any residue, but I will go back to a vinegar solution if I find the Tineco soap begins to leave a residue like the Bona cleaner did. Edge cleaning: I am very happy with the edge cleaning. Yes, it only cleans on one edge, and that's disappointing, but it worked well for me with just the one side and I only had to approach an edge from the other direction a couple of times in order for the right side of the machine to be at the edge. Transitions: It still wasn't perfect at room transitions (raised strips in doorways), but I was able to push the vacuum up to the transition and get it clean without leaving a bunch of water and clumps of wet dog hair like the Bissell. Ease of use: I seemed to clean the areas much faster than with my old Bissell because it's constantly outputting water. I didn't find I had to go over a spot nearly as often to pick up the dirt and it left the floor drier with each pass than the Bissell would - maybe go over a muddy footprint 2-3 times total with the Tineco rather than 5-6 and then again 3-4 times to dry it with the Bissell. Roller: I think the Tineco roller does a much better job at cleaning the floor and not leaving an uneven layer of water behind. I always thought my laminate plank floors were warped the way the Bissell left water on the floor, but I didn't get that at all with the Tineco and the water was evenly damp and left no residual marks from the wheels or the roller anywhere on my floors! Battery life: Yes, the battery does take a long time to charge, but within an hour of unboxing, it was at 75% and I took it for a spin. I did my large kitchen, a hallway and small bathroom all in about 20 minutes and was down to 38% after cleaning the floor and going through the self cleaning mode, so I should be able to do all of the floors I already cleaned, plus the mud room, master bedroom and large bathroom and run the self-cleaning mode all in a single charge. If not, I can certainly break up the cleaning and won't be that disappointed in having to wait for a recharge. Clean up: While the self cleaning mode is just ok, I still hand clean the roller, tanks and base of the machine, which it states clearly to do on the box. Why anyone would leave the dirty tank on the machine and be surprised at the smell that develops is beyond me. But the design of the Tineco makes cleaning easier and faster as there are fewer places behind the roller where hair and other debris gets hung up. I think the self-cleaning mode helps to remove hair and debris from the roller and the machine, making clean up less of a chore. And the included brush helps a bit with cleaning the filter, the dirty tank, and the port to the dirty tank. I always replace the roller after cleaning out everything and run the vacuum to suck as much water from the roller as possible, then remove the roller again to let it air dry; and still did this with the Tineco. I didn't replace the clean water tank during this process because I didn't want water flowing to the roller when I was trying to spin it dry. It seemed to work to remove excess water from the roller as there was more water in the dirty tank, so that worked fine. But the label on the machine says that the "brush" (roller?) shouldn't be submerged or rinsed, yet the instruction manual says to rinse the brush roller. I rinsed it, soaped it, rinsed it thoroughly and spun it dry on the machine so it will dry faster. Voila. What I didn't like (but aren't deal breakers)!: Tank capacity: When I was going through the self-cleaning mode, I ran out of clean water and then the dirty tank was full, so I had to stop twice during the self-cleaning mode to fill the clean tank and empty the dirty tank. I rarely had to refill the clean tank and never had to empty the dirty tank on the Bissell midway through my cleaning of the same area, so it's a little disappointing to have the smaller tank capacities. Cleaning sensor(?): As another reviewer commented, the readout never showed that the floor was dirty, so I had to manually turn on the Max cleaning mode in the dirty paw print traffic area. I noticed where I didn't have the Max cleaning on in that dirtier area, I had to go over it a second time to get the footprints up, so the Max mode was definitely needed in that area, but it didn't go into Max on its own. But I don't need a machine to do my thinking for me about where the extra dirty areas are, so I'm fine with pushing the button for the Max cleaning when I need it. Suction only mode: Apparently this model may not have a suction only mode, which is helpful if you happen to leak water on the floor while cleaning or when spinning the roller dry. It wasn't clear to me (and still isn't by the manual) whether the S5 has a Suction-only mode, so that is disappointing if it doesn't. It may be that you have to shell out more $$ on the Pro or Smart (Blue) model to get the Suction only version. I didn't feel like putting everything back together before it's dry to see if there is a Suction Only mode, but if there isn't, I will continue to remove the clean water tank to get suction only. So there. Summary: I think this is a fine machine and the Tineco S5 did a better job of cleaning my floors with less effort than before! I could get it directly from Tineco for cheaper than I bought it on Amazon, but in case I hated it right out of the box, I opted for Amazon - even though I believe I would have to work with Tineco directly if I had used it and wanted to return it, so that's food for thought. I would say that I was very happy with the performance of the Tineco and have no regrets with this purchase. If I find any other issues with the machine down the road, I will update my review.

LIFE CHANGING!
YES, worth the hype. At baseline, I already have a clean house. Two adults, a Belgian shepherd, no shoes allowed inside, dog's paws get wiped every time she comes in from outside. My normal routine was to vacuum daily and steam mop at least once or twice a week. I have a lightweight steam mop but HATED the physical labor of pushing it all over the house. Enter the S5. When this came, I had just steam mopped the night before. Ran it once and holyyyyyy nasty water!!! This thing is 10000% worth it. I've used it daily since it arrived and no matter how often I use it, the dirty water tank always ends up with brown nasty dirty water. Which tells you how quickly dust / dirt make their way into our homes. Some thoughts and tips for success: 1) Vacuum first with a dedicated vacuum. Don't expect the S5 to do everything. Use it like a power mop, to wash the floors after you've vacuumed / picked up large debris. The filter will require you to use your hands to clean it and empty it out, so if you don't want to touch disgusting chunks of who knows what, do your due diligence and clean messes properly first (on your hands and knees) before running this over to do a wash on your floors. 2) I need about 1.5 tanks of clean water to wash1800 sq ft of LVP floors. Remember, I clean my floors daily so this is just a maintenance wash of my floors but it will require patience + refill. 3) You can use whatever soap you want as long as it's not very foaming. I used Tide laundry detergent (VERY LITTLE goes a long way!) and it caused minor issues with the sensor thinking the dirty water tank was full when it wasn't, but that's probably because I put too much Tide and it foamed a lot. 4) Clean after EACH use. It's SO easy to do and takes 5 seconds to pop out all the pieces and rinse them with water. And yes, that includes the roller brush and the cover. I wash these every single time (yes, it's that easy!) 5) Stairs - since the S5 won't function if it's upright (unlike a Dyson), you can only cover so much of each step before it stops running (it shuts off when placed upright). My solution is to wash half a step on the way up, then do the other half of the step on the way down. Problem solved. MINOR MINOR complaints: 1) Very faint streaking on the backroll - i.e. if you pull the vacuum backwards too quickly, it can leave some stripes on the floor. Solve by always moving the vac forwards and overlapping the backwards strokes. 2) The water tank requires somewhat frequent refilling. A bit inconvenient but really not bad at all. 3) Self-clean cycle requires 10% battery and that your clean water tank is about half full. Again, pretty minor and easy to address. 4) Yes, you need to touch the gunk in your filter to clean it properly. If that grosses you out, just throw it in the sink and run water over it to rinse it out. 5) Doesn't lie flat to go way under furniture (would be wonderful if it did!) but most people aren't crazy and need their entire under-bed area washed. I got this on sale when it was the same price as the S3, and based on comparisons between the two, the S5 seemed a better deal (easier to clean components, larger water tank, less distance between roller brush edge and wall). My only regret is not purchasing this sooner!

Cleans VERY Well
I bought this wet vacuum a few weeks ago, and honestly, I wish we had gotten one sooner. We didn’t have a real mop before, and our floors were starting to get pretty gross—especially with muddy water getting tracked into the house—so this was a much-needed upgrade. Pros: It cleaned up all the dirt and grime way better than I expected It feels solid and well-made, not cheap at all The auto mode actually works—I could tell it adjusted based on how dirty different areas were The spinning brush helps pull it forward, and when you pull it back it really feels like it’s scrubbing the floor I love that I don’t have to sweep or vacuum first—it saves a ton of time Cons: The only downside for me is emptying the dirty water tank. It collects hair and debris, so you do have to reach in and clean it out. Not hard, just a little gross Overall: We’ve already been using this a lot, and it’s made a big difference in how clean our floors look and feel. It also came with cleaning solution, a cleaning brush, an extra filter, and an extra roller, which was a nice surprise.

Makes Hard Floor Cleaning Effortless
I’ve been using the Tineco Floor ONE S5 Smart Cordless Wet Dry Vacuum & Mop on about 50sqm of laminate flooring (living + kitchen), and it has replaced both my vacuum and mop for daily cleaning. It vacuums and mops at the same time, which cuts cleaning time in half. The iLoop smart sensor adjusts power automatically depending on how dirty the floor is — and it actually works. Sticky kitchen spots, crumbs, and everyday dust are handled in one slow pass. The dual-tank system keeps clean and dirty water separate, so you’re always washing with fresh water. Floors dry quickly and don’t feel overly wet. The self-cleaning function is also a big plus — just dock it and press a button. It’s best for regular maintenance rather than heavy-duty deep cleaning, but for sealed hard floors like laminate or tile, it’s excellent. At a good promo price, it’s outstanding value and a genuine time saver.

Me encanta
