Q: Will these keep a wood table dry if you use a paper plate? Sometimes the moisture will leak through my pvc type mats. Looking for some for an rv.

I honestly don’t know as I’ve gotten into the habit of putting a potholder under any plate I use so that my hand doesn’t get burned from the hot food and when using paper plates I always use two paper plates to top it off! The top one gets thrown away afterwards of course but the bottom one is saved for next time (unless it got dirty somehow). These mats are pretty thick though so I think they’d be fine for your table and they really are lovely. The colors are much more vibrant than in the picture. They’re also slightly larger than other placemats we have which makes them “safer” for a larger part of the tables.

Q: Is there any way to get these mats so that they do not slide around on the table?

My suggestion maybe that you need a non-slip material laid underneath the placemats. They are not made to not slip on the tables.

Q: Do they stay rigid when stood on edge to dry or do they fold or bend?

They do lean over but not completely. They take their shape back as soon as you lay them down. I'm very satisfied with them.
