But get a newer version, if you can. HIV and AIDS research is growing by leaps and bounds. The rest of the info is good.

Bought for a nurse practitioner/midwife moving overseas. She did her research.
It was the top of daughters Christmas list! It arrived the day before she and her family moved Overseas to do missionary work. She loved it even though it was used.

Full of information
This is so full of information and health tips. The author included when to transport for medical attention leaving everything clear including when NOT to self-treat, when and what situations are emergencies, and how to do correct self-care. A lot of little things one might not consider or think about.

A classic for the self reliance library
An excellent book with a long history of use in other countries around the world. Excellent for Americans because so much that is covered is forgotten knowledge in the US. Alot is NOT relevant CURRENTLY but in a SHTF situation, it just save the life of someone you love.
