We liked the idea of a material that would not absorb odors and the designs were just plain cute! The bottle opener, though we don't use it for that does occasionally generate inquiries and conversation when we are out and about. The product has definitely lived up to the marketing promises. The collars are very durable and resist odors. We have handed down one collar after a few years to a new dog from one who passed. We have also retired the collar of another dog due to wear and tear, but replaced it with another design. The newer collars have a "seatbelt" release, but we chose to purchase the plastic clip release instead since we are comfortable with that design. The newest collar has been improved with a metal frame to adjust the size that also boasts a place to add tags in lieu of the bottle opener.
