It's only been installed one day. I'll update after some use. If this holds up, it will be an incredible deal at under $200. So far, it has performed well pumping 5W30 through 20ft of pipe and another 15 feet of hose. The air motor is much smaller than the other pumps (Graco, Alemite, Lincoln, Ingersoll, etc). So, I don't have the most confidence in it lasting as long as the others. Other pumps have repair kits available. I have a feeling a repair kit would be hard to find for this one. But this whole pump costs less than a repair kit for those other pumps. So, we'll call it even. The bung adapter that screws into the tank / drum's bung is great. You thread in the lower part of it and tighten the upper part and it will hold the bung adapter at your set height. You'll need to extend the pickup tube. The end on the pump has a barb. You can attach a hose if you want, but hoses tend to be curved. Plus, you'll need hose that can survive being submersed in oil. I suggest PVC or ABS pipe. Get some pipe slightly smaller in ID than the barb. Heat up the end of the pipe until it's soft. Push it onto the barb and install a hose clamp while the PVC is still soft. After it's cooled off and hardened, you can either leave the hose clamp on or remove it, as it's now conformed to the barb and sealed tightly.

I picked up the Goodyear Oil Transfer Pump Air Operated Pneumatic 3.1GPM to make oil transfers a little easier, and honestly it’s been working pretty well for me so far. I’ve mainly used it with thicker oil, and it moves it way faster than the hand pump I was using before. Once I got it hooked up to my air compressor, it ran smooth and kept a steady flow without a bunch of stopping and starting. Definitely saves time and effort. It feels pretty solid too not cheap or flimsy. Everything seems well built and I haven’t had any leaks or issues yet. Setup took me a few minutes just figuring out the connections, but after that it was good to go. Only thing I’d say is you do need a decent air setup for it to really work right, so it’s not something super basic if you’ve never used pneumatic tools before. And like it says, don’t try using it with gas or diesel. Overall, I’m happy with it. It does what it’s supposed to do and makes the job quicker and easier. I’d buy it again.

I bought this pump for a oil transfer system that I built with a 38 foot over head length of 1/2 hose. works great so far and running about 35PSI out of my regulator and doesn't seem to have any problems. only thing is that it does not come with the barrel pipe extension, had to make one up not that big of a deal. I would buy again.

Our oil pump went out in our 4 person mechanic shop, I saw this one on prime with great reviews so for the same price as a service call to inspect our old one I purchased the Goodyear unit. It fit our 250 gallon tank and hooked up to our oil reels great! It’s a little slower than our old $900 unit but for the price I’m very happy!!!

This pump only has a 10" pickup tube. No way to pump more than the top 10" from a drum, and I can't find any extensions available.

This is a great air transfer pump. It sure beats the manual crank pumps.We use it at our dealership to transfer waste oil from 275 gallon totes to our oil burner tank. Highly recommend.

Pump does not come with an extension to reach the bottom of the drum, yet it's advertised as a drum pump.
