Such a mesmerizing and relaxing little object

I kind of chuckle at seeing this labeled as a timer, I doesn’t say how long it takes for the sand to run its course, though it might have said on the packaging, a detail that I don’t remember. For me it is a visual toy, aesthetics for my bookshelf, along with a Cenobite puzzle cube and some other visual and motion toys. I did time it once and it isn’t accurate as a timer, it is close but the sands finish close to a minute short of an hour.It is pretty well made, solid enough construction that it is stiff enough to not be able to spin at any significant speed. It is a little shorter than my role playing books so it’s a good visual element sitting toward the front of my bookshelf.

A little loose so he couldn’t position it exactly how he wanted to, but it’s so cool, he didn’t really mind.

It’s pretty but the sand gets stuck so you have to shake it a little to get it going again. I wouldn’t pay that much for it to not be somewhat accurate. If just using for decoration then go for it.

Look good in size and materials. Nice as office decor.
