Does this shampoo kill mange?

I am not a DVM. I cannot stress how important it is to have a vet conduct a scraping and look at it under a microscope. Because there are many kinds of mange. Ringworm can look like mange. Some types of mange can actually kill your pet if allowed to get out of control. The peroxide in this shampoo will assist with secondary infection and get rid of the smell that is caused by the inflammation. (But it is extremely drying to the skin.) I have successfully treated head lice using 1/4 teaspoon Turkish Oregano oil in 2 oz cheap vodka in a spray bottle. Since mange is caused by mites /  insects, it should work if it is a mite. Google Origanum Vulgare Specie for specifics. It has to be that specific kind. The oil and the vodka will sting. So, be warned. You might want to use something like liquid orajel or benzocaine to dull the pain before applying. Another thing that works is gentian violet (if it's yeast / ringworm related). It's very messy.

Can i use conditioner on my dog after i use the shampoo? Would it interfere with the medication?

I use conditioner on my dog after using this product and have not seen a decrease in its effectiveness. By the way, we love this product for mite control on our pit bull. It works wonderfully!

I suppose so but it leaves a very strong chemical smell in the fur of my cat that you might not like. In fact, I don't want my cat sitting on me after using it on her because of the smell. I'm going try this product
