I have been using this oil for about 20 years now in both my 1966 Mercury wagon that my father bought new, and my 1973 Ford LTD 429 that i bought used. The wagons original 390 has 248,000 on it now with no noise, smoke or problems. The 73 has over 300,000 miles on the 1991 rebuild of the 429. It too is quiet, no leaks, no smoke. I did change oil and filter every 2700-3000 miles though. Maybe a little too much but they are still going strong.

My 1980 Firebird leaks a little so good to have the extra quart around. It takes the full 5 qts of the larger jug.

I run a 500 HP small block pro street nova with a 1978 block and this oil works great, stays clean longer than many competitors, has the zinc needed and holds solid oil pressure.

There's lots of controversy about zinc content. All I can tell you is after listening to previous lifter rattling in my Jeep 4.0, once I switched to this oil, Dead Silence. I'm sold.

Good product just too expensive
