I grew up watching my mother make candy apples for myself and the other children in and out of our home. I never realized how easy, yet dangerous it is until I starting make them for the children's party's in our family. This mix is made of the same amazing quality I grew up on. Everything is the same, texture, size, and all! Definitely a great value for the money! The candy apples always come out amazing and delicious!

This item was very disappointing and a big letdown. I had plans for candy apples for my grand daughter’s birthday party. The product was very old like and although the expiration was ok, the product didn’t cook up right. Disappointed and dissatisfied. 😩

I don’t cook with white sugar, so it used brown sugar. The candy didn’t stay on the Apple in the allotted time (I don’t have a temp checker) so I kept it on the stove a lot longer until it thickened on the test apple. Everything was pretty on day one. I’d never made candy apples so I was excited. But from what I recall, the candy is supposed to be hard and thick. This came out thin and gooey. the following day, I was disappointed to see that the candy was ‘melting’ off of the apples, forming puddles. I ate one anyway. It tasted very good but the candy was more like hard taffy and got stuck in my teeth. It made a delicious lollipop style candy for licking, but not for biting into. Because of the melted look, I chose not to put them out for neighbors. Due to my out of control sweet tooth, I tossed the rest. It could be because I used brown instead of white sugar or didn’t have a thermometer, so I don’t blame the company. These would make delicious lollipops.
