When we replaced the guest bath sink, we found that the original hot-water pipes, except for the very top, and very bottom, wouldn't stay behind the pedestal. Instead of going through the trouble of replacing them, and STILL not being able to hide them completely, we decided that the nautical/beach theme of this bathroom could help. By wrapping the rope around the pipes, it gives it a nice nautical look that blends in with the rest of the bathroom.
