Not perfect, but better than nothing if you can't get a saddle to fit you.
Using it on a dressage saddle, and while it's not perfect, but better than nothing! It doesn't stay well when posting or half-seating. I ride a 17", but my client has a 19" seat for her hard-to-fit horse. We can't find anything that fits the horse better, so it's nice to have something that helps the saddle to be more comfortable for me. It does seem to reduce the seat by a full 2 inches, give or take. I can't say how it works for a western saddle, though I imagine it would be even better, as it's made to fit around the cantle.

Doesn't stay in place
It is well made and sort of fills its purpose, but with only one strap, it doesn't stay in place. And, it's hard to get balanced in your saddle as it pushes you forward and you just can't get centered. I made a slip cover for it, with straps and a pouch to fit over my cantle, with a wide him on the bottom. I ran the one strap through the hem and through the back cinch rings and that was helpful. Bottom line, I still needed to get a new saddle to fit me.

The idea is great, but it didn't stay in place well
The idea is great, but it didn't stay in place well. I had to bet wrap the whole thing. Ultimately I needed a different saddle. The seat shrinker helped determine this. I have a new saddle which is great.
