Worked as expected.
They are priced a bit higher than others. I did trim them a little to make them a bit more firm, but I've done that for years. I haven't experienced any problems like I've read in some of the other reviews. No bristle shedding at all (and I'm pretty rough with these brushes). I use these for applying flux with delicate electronic soldering work as well as cleaning up the work with solvent afterwards. I will buy again but will look for a better price next time.

durable for a low price
Sometimes I don't want to pull out the turpentine or paint thinner to clean a paint brush because it's hard to dispose of the solvent. So want a paint brush that's cheap enough to use just one time, perhaps wrapping it in plastic until it's time for a second coat. But cheap brushes are hard to find. This set of brushes is just what I like. And they are surprisingly durable. I don't use them for glass, I just use them for stain or any other kind of paint. If the paint is water-soluable, I can just clean the brush with soap and water. Otherwise, I can throw it away. Over the past two weeks, I used one of these brushes multiple times and it's still in good shape after several washings.

Great long lasting flux brush
These brushes are great for stained glass flux. The bristles do not fall off like a lot of brushes after just a few uses. Good weight. Well made and easy to hold.

useful for my purposes and acceptable quality for a beginner like me
I am using these for not exactly the intended purpose (i.e., I don't make stained glass art), but close enough. I have recently gotten into soft soldering as a jewelry-making technique. One thing I have been having fun with is wrapping different objects (including pieces of glass, but also some chunks of semiprecious stone, cabochons, etc.) around the edge with copper foil tape and then soldering to create a border as well as attachment points for jump rings, bails, etc. I am using these to paint flux onto my copper foil tape prior to soldering. These weren't too spendy, which is great when starting a new hobby you don't yet know that you'll love (turns out, I do like this, but I had to try it to see). I have not had any bristles shedding yet, but a few of them are not perfectly gathered into a clump with the others (you can kind of see what I mean if you look at the main product image in a large view). I snipped those off so I didn't get flux where I didn't intend to. I don't use these for applying patinas so I can't speak to that. Liquid flux can get a little messy with these (remember, though, I'm new at this and I just don't have great technique yet) although using only a small amount at a time can help. I am just making pendants and similar elements at this point, though, so I can afford to take it slowly as I don't have a huge area to cover. I also have some paste flux that seems to work with these. I find it definitely helps to have a "third hand" type device to hold whatever I'm adding flux to, so I can see all the way around the object and also keep chemicals off my hands! (Not sure how applicable this is outside of jewelry applications, though.) The brush can then access all parts of the object I'm adding flux to. Anyway, I've had good luck with these and I am an absolute beginner. The more I make and the more experience I get, I can't say I won't want a product in a higher tier, but for now, these suit my needs just fine. Be sure to wash after use and I prefer to hang upside down to dry (I have a rack for makeup brushes that I use for this purpose) to avoid oxidizing the metal handle.
