Hagen 15-Pack Marina Slim Aquarium Water Filter with Zeolite Plus Ceramic Cartridge

Whoever said taking care of fish is easy has never properly cared for one. Caring for fish means weekly maintenance/checks and monthly full cleanings. Of course, this process has been made easier with filters, automatic feeders, and bottled water treatments.When I found this I was extremely happy! I worry less about my fish and am able to regularly maintain their tank. I would recommend this product to those who have a Marina 10-gallon tank, but don't always have the time to go to the pet store. It's convenient and fair-priced. I'm a college student with a Marina 10-gallon tank. I bought the tank at the local pet store almost a year ago, but after a few months they jacked up the prices on filters! My budget was (still is) limited to the leftover money from my paycheck after the bills, groceries and gas, so some days I fee like I couldn't afford paying $8.99 per 3/pack every two to three weeks. This pack was such a life-saver!

Super great filters. Are sturdy and hold up to do it's job, even when I forget to change them as frequently as I should :( , oops! This item was very hard to find in surrounding pet stores, but as usual, trusty Amaxon had them. Wasted lots of gas looking in area pet stores, came home and within 10 minutes I placed my order for the filters and they were delivered to my front door within two days, yep these are great filters for my aquarium and price was very good too.

The filters work, I have not heard any complaints from the fish in the tank that these are being used in. The water stays very clear with a little added work of course, and so it is.

We have been using these filters in our Marina S20 filter, which uses four of these at a time. It is helpful to buy this economical multi-pack to keep on hand. We had been rotating the replacement of one filter each time we clean the tank, which is weekly. However, lately, the filters have not been dirty enough to replace. These can be rinsed under running, room-temperature water to extend the life of the filter. (Water that is too warm will kill the beneficial bacteria in the filter and can upset the balance in the tank.) It is wise to replace a particular filter when the material on the filter starts to "shed" or "pill".We highly recommend these filters, along with weekly 30-40% water changes with treated tap water. We replace 4 gallons every week, using Nutrafin Cycle for two of the gallons and Nutrafin Aqua Plus for the other two gallons. With these products and this routine, we have been able to keep alive four goldfish in a 20-gallon tank for about six months.

These filters were great! And this is a great price for the amount you get. Unfortunately, my fishy died not too long after purchasing my new round of these (it wasn't because of these filters, I'd been using these for some time). So...if anybody wants 14 of these filters for cheap, hit my up here and I'll sell them to you low!

Great for my Axolotl tank. I replace 2-3 weeks and it does the job well. Also, very easy to switch out

I've used these filters for several months and have had no problems with them disintegrating, as stated in a previous review. I change one filter cartridge every two to three weeks which means at least one cartridge remains in the filter for approximately two months. They seem to do a decent job of trapping small detritus, the sponge intake traps the larger debris. I use this along with a canister filter.
