A multiple time buyer here— This gunpowder green tea is qualitatively, and per cup value, the best bulk GG tea you can get in the US. There may be finer selections or specialty regions to pick from if you are drinking tea on your private plane, but this is outstanding tea. Over a Few years of purchasing, the quality and consistency is near perfect. But the taste and aroma keep bringing me back. Six out of five stars, honestly.

To me it taste good.

I first wrote a review that this tea was not good. I’m revisiting it because I made a mistake. This tea is delicious. The problem was my water and brewing time. Sorry for the mistake. Highly recommend, error was on me!

I like the fact that it is organic and I trust the brand. This green tea is not really a japanese green tea taste but it is ok. Once you get the soak time and amount of leaves right, it’s fine.

***Just personal preference, but could be relevant to you. I came back to this tea after ordering what I thought was an equivalent tea, (From Great Origins) but this is definitely better! I am a 2 cup per day (minimum during the winter) and I do not want my tea to be "smoky." This tea as opposed to the FGO brand is not smoked (from what I detect). Its fresher and closer to the true plant. Why the heck would someone want their tea roasted? There is no way its as healthy. The smoked tea also tastes drastically worse. I wouldn't want to out a poor rating on FGO, because it might just be me.

Great tasting don't oversteep

Very good! Just be careful to steep for too long or else it’ll get bitter. Sometimes 5 min is too long.
