A Walk in the Words

Love the sentiment of this book for my students with dyslexia. There are elements that land a little funny for me in terms of the story line, but it’s beautifully illustrated and very heartwarming.

I stumbled across this book because I have a young bookworm who I suspect my have dyslexia. In reading it with my three young kids, ALL of them (and I) were fascinated by the drawings and the illustrations of what is happening in the storytellers mind when he reads. The idea of enjoying reading in her own way resonated with my little bookworm, whether or not she winds up needing to “make words behave” for her whole life or outgrows it.
