It is fast as advertised.
Speed is dependant on both the m.2 drive and the device's drive you connect to. I'm really happy with its performance.

Great value for the money. I purchased one last year as I had 2 nvm harddrives one was supposed to be internal and one external. Fun fact make sure your power supply has enough power of your machine won't like it too well. Lol I eventually turned that pci slot one into a now external. It works well on usb c and well as USB a. Installation was easy. Mine never heats up.
