Solid frame with good support and good staining job.
We use this frame to support a Purple Mattress and it works perfectly. It is very solid and the slats let the foam mattress "breathe". There is a metal support rod that spans the middle of the frame lengthwise with three vertical bracing rods that prevent the mattress from sagging. The attachment bolts thread into pre-installed inserts and everything locks down very tightly and securely. The staining is good and even on all parts of the wood.Minus 1 Star: To prevent the mattress from sliding around, two of the slats have double-stick tape (see photos). I don't think it's a good idea to use adhesive on a mattress, so I did not remove the tape's protective strip. I figured I'd use a Non-Slip Area Rug Pad ( RHF Non-Slip Area Rug Pad 4' x 6' - Protect Floors While Securing Rug and Making Vacuuming Easier 4x6 if my mattress slipped on the frame (it hasn't).

Faulty support beam
I have had this bed in a size king for about 6 months. When I first received it, I was pleasantly surprised to see that assembly of the parts was simple and of seemingly good quality for the price. It is real wood and not MDF board. However, the bed is only as good as its weakest point, and unfortunately, the weakest point was the middle support beam. The beam and its legs are made of a cheap metal that bent under normal weight (the combined weight of my wife and I is less than 300 pounds). At first, I didn't realize that this happened, and was wondering why my back was hurting every morning. I even got a new mattress. When I realized the beam was bent, I contacted Zinus and reported the problem, and they mailed replacement parts fairly quickly, so at least they are a responsible company. But this product is faulty. It happened again almost immediately. So now I had to buy a new bed frame because I am sick of losing sleep over this. The price may seem good, but in the long run it will cost you more.

It comes with pictured instructions that are easy to follow
After weeks of researching bed frames and comparing style, price, and product reviews I settled on this golden ticket of a bed. The product arrives in a long box which needs two people to lift. Each item is well labeled. It comes with pictured instructions that are easy to follow. I put it together myself (27 y/o female) in less than 30 minutes. I can tell from my previous bed frame purchases that this is much sturdier than what I've bought in furniture stores for much more in price. I like the color I got (espresso). No damages to the frame when it arrived. All the pieces to assemble it were present. Everything fit together well. I also purchased the Zinus 8 inch mattress which fits perfectly on top. I wanted something simple, easy, inexpensive, and sturdy. So if you want something like that too, get this bed. I am very very satisfied with my purchase.

Really nice for what it is
This is a beautiful bed frame and an outstanding overall value. I almost gave it 5 stars, but there are a few issues that caused me to feel like 4 stars was more appropriate. The first reason is that the product looks like it is more of a wood composite type of thing rather than real wood. If it is all genuine wood, there must be some kind of plastic-like coating on it that makes it look a bit chintzy up close - but you have to get REALLY close to it notice this, and honestly how many people are going to go up to someone's bed, get less than 3 inches away from it, and analyze the material? I don't think that's too likely.Anyway, the other reasons why it got 4 stars rather than 5 are as follows: It was somewhat awkward to put together. Maybe that's an unfair criticism since it is a king size bed frame, but I've put together other king size frames by myself with less trouble. It had a slightly unpleasant chemical odor when I pulled it out of the box that lingered for a couple of days but dissipated by the end of the week. Also, while I don't feel the bed lacks adequate support, but it could use an extra support rail running perpendicular to the middle rail or an additional support elsewhere just to be on the safe side. One other issue worth mentioning is that I really do not feel like this bed is espresso-colored. For me, this was actually a good thing because I wanted a dark, earthy wood tone (like what is pictured in the description), but I believe that most people think of espresso as a very, very dark brown-black color, and this is not that. It is a full-on wood tone. It is very pretty, but if someone expected this frame to match an espresso vanity or espresso furniture, they might be disappointed. On the plus side, the bed did go together well based on the instructions. It is a beautiful addition to our master bedroom. It looks like it was quite a bit more expensive than it was (at least from 6 inches or more away). It really supports our mattress well and is very comfortable. In fact, we were considering purchasing a new mattress (despite the fact that the mattress it is less than a year old) because we did not feel like it was comfortable, but after getting this frame, we have totally changed our minds. Also, there is a fair amount of storage space underneath which is a plus. Overall, I am satisfied with this bed frame and hope to enjoy it for years to come.

Easy to assemble & looks great
So worth it! A couple of the plastic wheels on my old bedframe broke, so I decided to get this to go with my nice headboard. My friend carried this up to my 2nd floor condo, it would have been too heavy for one woman without unboxing. All the part were there & in good shape, no scratches or cracks. The pieces are well labeled for assembly - match up "A" to "A", "B" to "B", etc. you almost don't need directions. It took 16-20 min to unbox and lay out the pieces, and an hour or less to put together by myself. If I'd had a hex attachment for my driver it would've been really quick. It looks great - now I just have to decide whether to get rid of my boxspring, or have a tall bed!

Assembled this on my own with absolutely zero difficulty. ...
Assembled this on my own with absolutely zero difficulty. Instructions are very straightforward if you read them carefully and line up the matching numbers - easier than IKEA in my opinion, because even the different sides of the parts are all labeled! No extra equipment required, either. All the pieces fit very snugly together, and zero creaking after about a month of sleeping on it. My only complaint is that a couple of the legs don't QUITE touch the ground - they're off by a couple millimetres. None of the corner or outside pieces had this problem, just the middle metal bar. It made a faint thunking noise when you press down on it, so I stuck a piece of folded up cardboard under it. Problem solved! Only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars, since that's a bit of a design flaw.

Good quality
This bed is very sturdy. It was so easy to assemble. I did it myself in just over 30 minutes. It is solid wood, no shifting or creaking at all. The slats stay where they should be.If I could change one thing, I would have the legs be a little taller so I could store things under the bed.As others have mentioned, the espresso colour is dark reddish. Not like a contemporary espresso shade. But it’s still fine. The wood sides were not completely smooth. I mean, there was a bit of texture in places that looked like there was rough wood under the finish. Not scratchy, the finish on top is well done. Just a touch of “rustic” that you have to look hard to see.I’m very pleased with this bed.

Dead easy to assemble
Seriously well designed assembly with no guesswork as everything is clearly labelled and you just match up. Other companies should take lessons from this system.Heads up - it is heavy to haul the box if that is a concern for you (I'm an average 5'4" woman and did it but it was tough) but once I got it upstairs I easily assembled it myself in under 20 min.The finish is rougher than I expected but I didn't dislike it. It is just an online shopping surprise.Colour was as pictured so no surprise there. When assembled the feet in the center don't touch the ground by about 1/4". Not sure if the weight of a mattress and a human will change this.Box arrived damaged but it was well packed inside and there was no damage to the product.Frame feels nice and solid. No wiggles or squeaks. Mattress doesn't slip (due to the non stick tape that is on the slats). My teenage son is happy with the look and its use.

Beautiful solid wood frame !
I absolutely love this bed! It's solid wood and smells wonderful! Looks even better! It's pretty low to the ground which some may not like, but with the 12 inch mattress on top it's about regular height. Took awhile to put together and the instructions could be a but clearer. Specifically ensure you don't get the screw sizes mixed up. I accidentally used the wrong screw and it went straight through the wood! Be careful when assembling. Other than that it's beautiful and such a bargain price! Highly recommend!

Very sturdy, easy to assemble, looks nice
honestly if ikea didnt continually suck with their pressboard garbage getting so expensive these days I would never have come across this frame. very easy to install, MUCH easier than ikea. much BETTER quality fasteners. i have a queen size ikea frame that is at least 3x heavier and way more complicated to put together and it isnt as sturdy as this frame.I am the guy that got so fed up with ikea and started buying raw wood and making my own shelves because i could make a 60 dollar 'book' shelf for under 20 bucks... customize its size and sand/stain it whatever color i want.this bed frame makes me happy to be lazy and not make my own furniture. Thank you Zinus.
