Excellent performance and function; bumpers recommended
Bought one of these trashcans for use in my kitchen and chose this lid style. It's wonderful, and does a fantastic job keeping odors in the trash can. only two small caveats: 1. When the lid closes, the clatter of plastic hitting plastic was a bit much. I bought some small felt bumpers SoftTouch Self-Stick 3/8" Furniture Felt Pads Value Pack for Hard Surfaces (84 piece) - Oatmeal, Round and installed four of them on the inside of the lid where the doors hit. Perfect! Sound is now muffled and the color matches, too! 2. Very infrequently, one of the doors gets stuck open. It only takes a moment to give it a little nudge and it pops closed, but it does happen sometimes. Overall, I'm very happy with the function and performance of this lid. Initially I was hesitant because of the price, but I'm so glad I bought it!

Garbage can flip lid
Good product and came in good and also working condition! Just a Lil pricey. In my opinion I think it should be anywhere between $15- $20 dollars

Fits like original equipment
Works perfectly on my brand-name garbage can at a fraction of the price. The original swinging lid cracked and split, and I was not in the mood to pay $$$ for the brand-name replacement. This lid is at least as sturdy, so I am happy.

Very sturdy, but make sure you measure your can correctly
Very sturdy, be careful with ordering the correct size though. The lid does not fit length wise. It is off by maybe half an inch. Width wise is perfect.

Excellent lid
The lid flaps are weighted so that they move easily and spring back quickly. It works better than expected. We use this (plus the rectangular bottom) for a recycle bin in the kitchen. Worth the expense.

Not initially functional
The lid does not arrive manufactured to close repeatedly after something is dropped in. We tried 2 lids and both were the same. I read another review that described having to make the holes slightly larger, so I did and now the lid works perfectly. This shouldn't need to be done for the price of this lid, but we liked the design and color of the coordinating waste basket, so we went through the hassle.

Flaps Don't Close as they should Stay stuck open
As soon as I assembled the 2 flaps into the lid, I could immediately tell they did not move smoothly and flip back up to closed position as they should. When I put the lid on top of the trash can, my suspicions were confirmed. If you open them even slightly (say to throw a can away) they stay open and do NOT swing closed as they should. It is a CHEAP and FAULTY design. I get that if you push the flaps down all the way, they stay open, which is a great option if needed. However, the whole purpose of the lid is to self-close after throwing something away, and they don't do that. Completely defeats the purpose of the flap lid !!! Nobody wants to reach in every time they throw something away to reclose the flaps... Unreal a product like this could be made and sold in droves on Amazon.
