I can't answer as far as gbs. But I will say this, don't waste your time or money on this product! I returned mine a week after receiving it. I did 15 separate recordings, and they all had a 8-12 second lag between the video and audio. I contacted the seller 3 times, with absolutely no help. They kept telling me I needed windows 10 operating system to use it. I told them I am running Windows 10, but that was their only response. I believe it to be a pre loaded response. I bit the bullet, and bought a Magnavox VHS/DVD recorder, and can't be happier. 8 videos in, and not a single issue. 8 VHS tapes has used 6.7gbs on my flash drive, if that helps.
