Well researched and comprehensive
Coultas has quickly solidified a reputation for high quality work within this sphere. Heathens cannot go wrong with this exploration into an area that few write about (especially considering the importance of the sea in the Viking Age!) Highly recommend.

Informative, well researched and a different look at Thor
This book has clearly been well researched, be it taking note of certain customs and folklore to shining a light in other less considered aspects of Heathenry and the gods relationship with nature and the humans of Midgard. This is the sort of thing that get the mind engaged and inspired, exactly what I’ve come to expect from Mr Coultas in his dedication to his religion and it’s people.

Fantastic read!
A fantastically written and well researched book! With the ocean being of the utmost importance to our island, it’s remarkable to read something that’s able to inform whilst being relevant. Highly recommended, as there is much more information available than the commonly recited tales!

More information that you would expect from a 200 page book
I purchased this book to learn more about the Gods of the waters but what I received was a much deeper understanding about the history of what the ocean has meant to men, the spirits of our waterways, how to venerate our ancestors of both blood and profession, conservation as it relates to the Web of Wyrd and the gift giving cycle, and of course our Gods. Wonderful book packed full of so much information.
