I defy you to find a better quality saw for the same price point.
The media could not be loaded. It was going to cost between $3,000-$4,000 to pay a professional to construct a composite deck for me. I did it myself for about $1,600 including the price of this miter saw. I made all the cuts for my deck using this saw, 2x4 & 4x4 ground contact pressure treated, and the composite decking as well. The real test for me was to see if this saw could cut the wet pressure treated 4x4s…and it did, no problem. (There’s a video in my review of this, the saw doesn’t struggle at all, I just wanted a clean cut so I took my time.)This saw has a lot of features for it’s price point and it executes them well. When I first took it out of the box I was surprised at how heavy the saw was, and I mean that as a sign of quality. They could have used much thinner or lighter metal to save money and turn more of a profit. The saw is very sturdy, it doesn’t move or vibrate on a table even if you don’t screw or bolt it down. The cuts are accurate, the laser is accurate, I made all cuts with this saw only. The only imperfections in my deck are minor errors related to me not being a professional and this being my first completely solo deck build, nothing to do with the quality of the saw. I probably had to make somewhere near 50 cuts to finish the deck and every single one was as perfect as I zeroed it in.My one and only complaint is the sawdust collection bag only catches like 1% of 1% of the sawdust. Out of all the cuts I made the bag did not fill up one single time, the sawdust just flew into my yard. I tried to readjust it several times, it was attached snuggly but to no avail. I personally don’t care, it’s not a deal breaker and I still give it 5 stars. This is a saw I intend to use mostly for outdoor construction jobs at my own home, a bit of sawdust in my yard will disappear on it’s own and is a small price to pay for saving thousands doing the work myself. If you are a professional carpenter I am unsure of how long this may last when abused day in and day out. For a hobbyist working on small to medium personal construction projects this saw is perfect for me. This saw paid for itself easily the very first project I used it on and it has no signs of slowing down.5/5 stars.

GREAT TOOL FOR THE PRICE-as others have said the dust bag doesnt work
Ok so you need a saw, and you dont have a bundle to spend, and it has to be a sliding mitre saw, this is it. Im a retired mechanic so wood working is just for home and hobby. I bought this saw to remodel a porch, Im using tongue and groove boards and really needed to get straight cuts. At the price it cant be beat, it comes with 3 blades, the laser makes cuts easy and checking the squareness and adjusting it was easy. It starts slow, has a decent cut and really saved me time. Not only with clean straight cuts ( could only imagine how much time and funky edges I would have ended up with by cutting with a hand power saw). NOW the drawbacks- the dust bag catches NOTHING, I seen other reviews that stated the same I thought it to be an exaggeration, but IT WONT CATCH ANYTHING- looks groovy on it though, but it doesnt catch anything. NOW Im old school I learned a long time ago to clean up after yourself, and a saw of any kind will toss out saw dust, its just this one throws it all out.Second drawback- the clamp down "system" the little clamp- well it holds nothing it isnt strong enough to get out of its own way...BUTTTTTT- Ill live with it, it cuts good, its at a price range I could afford, I like the saw- really do, Im sure I could have found one with a better catch bag- but anybody who has operated a saw knows NONE of them catch it all, and the clamp thing- no big deal, for $175 bucks it was a great solution for me.

It is worth the cost of it.
I have only used it once since I purchased it. It was excellent and very easy to use. It did a great job for me, and I found everything was as advertised. One thing you need to know. This does not effect the quality of work but the saw dust bag is worthless.

Two days of heavy use…so far, so good
I was almost done building a shed when this saw arrived last week, so I decided to give my circular saw a rest and use this one to cut 2 x4s for a set of double doors on the shed. I was able to make cuts to within less than 1/64” tolerance every time. The laser is in perfect line (good thing as it doesn’t appear adjustable) and helped tremendously with making precision cuts. The laser is invisible in bright sunlight though and worked better before and after sun was full bright w no clouds in midday hours it would work better in a workshop environment. I already have a miter saw but had been needing/wanting a slider for years. I think this saw is built tough and should last. I saw reviews of cheap parts, but the cheap plastic parts are only found on the orange knobs that are hand tightened. They won’t break unless turned with a wrench or extreme force, but yeah, they are a little cheap feeling. All metal working parts and heavy plastic motor cover and carry handle. Deck rotation and tilt features are solid and not flimsy at all. After 2 full days of cutting boards, this saw seems like it is a quality tool.

Easy operating saw
I'm putting in laminate flooring and needed a sliding saw due to the width of the flooring. This saw works great with its laser. Great saw.

Has short coming’s
Bought this because it was a good price and has a bag to collect the sawdust and a laser guide. Saw works great but the laser is not very good and if you need a saw that collects the dust buy something else the bag doesn’t seal and is very poor quality it just throws the dust out all over the place. Also there is a design fault that when you incline the saw 45 deg from the horizontal you have to remove the wood clamp on the left hand side and have to either hold the job by hand or find some other way on holding it.

Great saw for the price
I have been using this all summer for a flooring an stair project and it has worked great. The only con I have with it so far are the fences could be a little taller and like others said, the dust bag doesn't work at all.
