It is a total vegetation herbicide. You might google the Arsenal label and look at species controlled and rates to use. My guess would be that it will kill Palmettos, not sure of rate. Usually conifers are not affected by Imazapyr. Thus the large usage in pine production. If you have palmettos I would assume that you are in the Florida area.
