Ok. Full discloser, I am a picker. So I like to have a light at the ready in my truck.I have a few good ones but I thought I would test this one.The best feature is the gooseneck. It extends out with a firm grip so I think it will hold up ok.The magnetic base is helpful as well for sticking to my truck while I load stuff.What I do not like is that they put all the controls and the batteries in the head. It uses those tiny watch batteries. I do not like that at all. Note: there is an insulator pad in the head that you must remove to get the light to work at first. They do included a second set of the batteries.If this was a chargeable light, I would have given it five stars but I am not that onboard with it as is.

How did I survive several decades without owning one of these things?True story: Less than an hour after receiving my sample unit, I went outside to replace my falling-apart mailbox. The new box required several screws, which came packaged in tiny plastic baggie. The plastic was so thick, I had to literally BITE the thing open. Predictable result: An explosion of screws raining into the grass around the mailbox post.After cursing the mailbox manufacturer and their descendants to the twelfth generation, I pulled this Boffee tool out. Not a single screw was missed by its magnetic probe.There are rare-Earth magnets on BOTH ends of this tool. One end is mounted on a telescoping pole, ending on a flexible gooseneck. A pushbutton switch on that end activates an LED light to make finding things in dark corners easier.The lighting system is powered by four easily-replaceable watch batteries. The unit I received had four batteries already installed, but the package includes an extra set of four.You can buy magnetic probes similar to this at most hardware stores for less than $15, but they come in blister packs and look like ... well, hardware store tools. This unit comes boxed in an unexpectedly nice package that makes it nicely suited for gifting ... and this is one gift ANYONE would appreciate getting.Recommended, especially if you're impatient with tiny plastic baggies full of screws.

This review is for BOFEE LED Magnetic Pickup Tool/Flashlight. The magnet is surprisingly better than I anticipated, and it is magnetic at both ends. I really like the extendable gooseneck. It really adds to the versatility of this tool both for picking magnetic items up and for getting the light to shine where you need it to. The little clip is also nice for storing on a pocket, shirt, or toolbag. I'm really surprised that these came with two sets of batteries. This is a really versatile tool and a very good value.

This is a great extendable magnetic pickup tool with a light on the end. The magnet is strong enough to recover most tools dropped under your car or any that fell and slid under your workbench. It comes with batteries (you need to remove the insulator in the battery compartment first) and an extra set, too. It collapses to it doesn't take up a lot of room.

Came in simple packaging and easy to open. Very light weight easy to use. Works great for a handy man or to use for light work. Would recommend
