This is a great invention for hard wood floors, I nearly destroyed my hardwood floor with the other wheels that came with the chair.

While these wheels appear to be of high quality, they only lasted 3 years installed in my Herman Miller chair. This is the second set I've purchased. Would prefer a higher quality piece that last longer

I was tired of having to "walk" my chair around while seated and knew there had to be better wheels out there that would roll a chair as expected without requiring workout level effort to move. These wheels not only do everything as advertised but added a sense of adventure to my life. I am 70 years old and need a knee replacement so I'm not nearly as active or agile as I used to be. I discovered the magic of the wheels as soon as I put them on the chair.After changing the wheels the chair rolled right to me as if to say Thank You! I stood up and sat down in the chair. I was preparing to push off to the desk but instead, I was rolling away from the desk, easily I might add. What the heck is going on I wondered and brought the chair back to where we started. The same thing happened. I lifted my feet and went for a ride down the hall to the main room in my house, the bathroom. This was truly now a miracle chair thanks to the new wheels and an old house that leans to one side.I decided to see what my new wheels and I could do. Starting from the desk if I lightly drag my right foot and lean slightly left I'm in the kitchen and stop at the sink. Well done chair! Getting to the bedroom took me several tries but doing the same kitchen maneuver and adding a quick left foot drag as I go thru the kitchen door, I'm going thru the bedroom door and stop at the far wall in front of the window. The bedroom is the most slanted so this trip was quick and good exercise walking the chair uphill back to the desk.The quietness of the wheels can be problematic. I was doing some research and had gathered some information from my small reference library. I started to sit down and the chair had quietly rolled away Bad chair!Whether you have uneven floors or not I would give these wheels a try you never know where they'll take you.

This is a great addition to your chair, they are quiet and roll smooth. one word of advice, the wheels roll so smooth and so quiet...your chair might not be where you expect it to be when you sit back down...don't end up on your butt like I...I mean my coworker did.

Love these! As a massage therapist, I strive to keep my working environment quiet, and these fit the bill! Nearly silent as I roll around on my stool and the movement is really, really smooth. Highly recommended!

One of the things I'd say about these wheels is that they are incredibly loose. What I mean is that they have bearings that you would expect to see on rollerblades or skateboards that are high quality, and that's just awesome to me. So why did I give it four stars out of five? I'll get the bad part out of the way first:These wheels tend to roll at the slightest movement, causing your seating position to go from comfortable to suddenly skewed, meaning the slightest movement you make will move your chair back, or to the side, and any way but forward. As a gamer who spends most of his time at his computer, I rely on good seating position and posture to keep my reflexes tight. If there were a way to kind of "brake" these wheels, that would be cool, but if you're using these on a deskchair mat? Don't, because those flexible mats can cause you to move when you don't want to.Now on to the good, and there's... A whole lot to love here. First of all, these things are gonna avoid you a lot of headaches in replacing flooring, expensive repairs that can be avoided by simply buying a desk chair floormat that is usually made of some kind of laminate or rubber that will protect your floors from the constant back and forth with your chair as you get up or slide around to do your work or whatever it is you do. Why is that? Well, these wheels are so gentle on flooring that it's like your chair actually sits on air. This is both good and bad. Good because it doesn't stress your floors. Bad because as I said before, you can move unwillingly at the slightest sign of movement.This basically turns your office chair into a sit-down rollerskate, and that's actually pretty cool. But I warn you to take some time to adjust and be mindful; if you don't, you'll find yourself across the street or something when all you wanted was the printer right next to you.
