I like that both sets of scissors and the file have safety guards protecting you from accidentally poking yourself. I have only used the thinning scissors, and the cutting scissors. The cutting scissors worked as expected, but the thinning scissors did not work well, they would not cut through my Australian Shepherds hair. Neither scissors had "razor sharp edges" as described in the product description. The scissor's handles were comfortable in my hands.
