In the African savanna, King Mufasa, a wise and just lion, rules over the animal kingdom from Pride Rock. When the heir to the throne, Simba, is born, it is celebrated by all except his uncle, Scar. Wanting the throne for himself, Scar plots to take control of Pride Rock by getting rid of the King and his new cub.
