No, while one end of the cable is universal (will fit any 8 or 6 pin if separated GPU power socket) the other has a proprietary pin layout that can ONLY be plugged into the PSU the cable shipped with so the two ends are different. Never mix cables from different model PSU's even from the same brand unless you make certain they are identical as the same applies and you could fry your GPU and / or PSU. Just buy an extension kit with the required length

Say i ordered the std version but wanted the rev version, could'nt i simply just flip both connectors around 180 to make a std into a rev ?

Unfortunately no. Boards between the standard and reverse are not identical. If you look at the pinouts of supplemental PCI-E power connectors you will find that pins one through three are +12V (usually yellow) and pins four through eight are common ground (GND - usually black). Cable colour may vary between PSU manufacturer although many PSUs on the market just have black coloured cables for aesthetics. Another way to look at it is that there is one row of pins is all GND and one row that has 3 +12V pins next to 1 GND pin. This lone GND pin is a also a presence detect pin to identify to your card that you have connected an 8 pin connector. If you flip the orientation of the connectors through 180° you will have 3 +12v pins and one GND pin connected to the same rail causing a short circuit. This is because the row of GND pins are all commoned together on the adapter. You’ll need to buy the orientation you need. Hope this helps!

3060ti owner, what do i buy ? pins are in reverse but i got 8 + 6 not 8+8 or 6+6 . i got 2 standard and is wrong way round + not long nuf

You need the other ones then, they're meant to lead the cables above the card and not below.
