Essential gear if your home has radon issues. Looks great, works great.
I've used the Corentium radon monitor for years and have been very happy with it. Simple, accurate (I calibrated it against a professional unit). I believe Airthings now owns Corentium. As a complement to the standalone, single-function Corentium monitor, I decided to try this Airthings View radon monitor for the added functionality of being integrated with an app, which allows remote monitoring and alarms. The View monitor also tracks temperature and humidity, which is valuable when we're away from home and need to make sure the heating/cooling system is working. The View monitor looks great and is super simple to set up. The app is simple enough to use and stores plenty of history if you're trying to monitor variations in radon levels. The monitor plugs into a standard USB charger, but it also has backup batteries so it continues to operate through power outages or if you just want to move the monitor. Great device for anyone who needs to monitor temperature and humidity while away from home, and essential gear for anyone living in radon-prone areas (especially so if you have a radon mitigation system, since this monitor will let you know if the system stops functioning correctly). Essential health protection at a very reasonable price from a company I trust. And it looks great.

Exceptional Customer Service
I purchased this device about 18 months ago. It has worked very well and provides temp., humidity, radon, air quality information. This was very helpful during a large addition to our house. The information is accessible on the easy to use app. and stores trending data. The unit is inconspicuous and easily movable to monitor different areas of the house. This provided insight on radon levels if different areas. Surprisingly the basement did not show the highest levels. Radon levels fluctuate quite a bit depending on location, tepm., and the amount of ventilation present. This was very eye opening and useful. Recently I noticed that part of the LED display was degraded. This is not a bit deal since the app is the best way to access the information. I contacted Airthings via chat on their website and got an immediate response. They asked me to upload pictures, and by the next day offered to replace the unit. This was customer service I've not seen from any company in a very long time. The company offers to extend the warranty to 5 years on their website if you register your purchase. I had not done this so technically I was out of warranty. They went the extra mile and replaced the unit for a defect that did not affect the overall function. Again this was top notch service. I would highly recommend Airthings products and the company based on my experience.

Peace of Mind for Radon Levels in My Basement!
I purchased the Airthings Radon Monitor because I was concerned about radon levels in my basement, and this device has been an absolute lifesaver for my peace of mind. Setting it up was quick and easy—just download the app, connect the monitor via Wi-Fi, and you’re good to go. The monitor gives real-time readings, so you don’t have to wait for long-term tests to figure out what’s going on with your air quality. What I love most about this device is the convenience. The app provides detailed radon readings, and I can monitor them right from my phone, whether I’m at home or away. You also get alerts if levels rise above safe limits, which gives me that extra reassurance I needed. Another great feature is that it tracks other air quality factors like humidity and temperature. So, not only am I keeping an eye on radon, but I’m also aware of other environmental factors in my basement that could affect comfort or health. If you’re looking for a reliable, easy-to-use radon monitor that gives you instant feedback and long-term tracking, the Airthings View Radon is an excellent investment. It’s brought me peace of mind knowing I’m keeping my home and family safe.

Premium price, sub-premium quality and support
I don't like to give 1 star reviews like this because they usually are not helpful but in this case I think it will be. I have another Airthings product (the one that checks like 8 things) and I like it. The values it gives for CO2 and other items seem reasonable and fluctuate based on actual events. (CO2 goes up on nights my friends are over. Particulates soar if I pan fry something.) I recently moved and wanted another radon sensor for the basement. I bought this one and installed it and waited the 30 days and all the while it read 0.0. After 30 days, it still read 0.0 and I contacted Airthings. First, I had to navigate the incredibly dumb AI which is just an impediment to me getting help. But I get it, most people have simple problems with simple solutions that AI can probably handle. When I finally get an actual human being they give me a boilerplate which is effectively "try turning it off and back on again" and then wait 7 more days. Also, make sure it's not in a humid area and check that the battery terminals are clean. What? This thing is brand new and I need to check if the terminals are corroded? It is pretty clear that the sensor doesn't work. I was not happy and told them so and they asked for pics of the device and proof of purchase, which I sent. One of the pics shows the humidity reading of below 30%. Then they AGAIN send a boilerplate response asking me to change the batteries, make sure the terminals are clean and the device is not in a humid area. My response was that this is an expensive device, perhaps the most expensive in its class (radon detectors). It shouldn't ship with bad batteries. It shouldn't ship with corroded terminals and, frankly, it didn't. This is just a waste of my time. I told them I'm returning it to Amazon. If you want to understand Customer Service: it took me less time to process the return and drive to the drop off location ten it did for Airthings to respond saying (I'll paraphrase) "we've decided that it sounds like your device is defective and we'll send you a new one. Aren't we great?!" To sum up, out of 2 products I bought from this company, one was a lemon and they didn't stand behind it the way a company selling a premium product should. Personally, I will not buy another product from them.

Easy set up & data access with app!
Our basement has the Airthings wave monitor for radon / temp / humidity and that version is blue tooth only. It works well, but not accessible from distances or while away. We wanted one for our main living floor and decided to get the slightly higher end model with WiFi connection. I’m happy we did. This is easy to use, size similar to older thermostat models and is easy to read / access data. While a little higher priced I’m overall happy with our choice for piece of mind. The app has been reliable as well. I’d recommend this version over the wave.

Definitely Accurate Enough To Base Decisions Upon
I have had five of these working in my house over a four month period winter into spring. Running them over time is the way to use them. They are not instant read tools like say a geiger counter. The units connect to the app by Bluetooth and then to WiFi quickly. The app is very easy to use. The units are well made and of an anodyne design. It's not something you leave on display, but they are not offensive or too industrial to look at. Radon data (along with temperature and humidity) is clearly presented in both the app and on the device display. Consistency between devices is good. I have run them side by side, and rotated them through the same rooms. They are sensitive and they use a statistical sampling method, so results are not identical, but the information over time is very consistent. That is to say ** they are definitely accurate enough to base decisions upon **. We bought our house in winter. A professional measured the radon at below 4 pci/l, which I am sure that it was... in February. I now know how much the radon level fluctuates depending upon the weather. We've seen peaks at 20 pci/l and a typical range that moves between 3 and 9 pci/l. I also know how it varies at different points in the house - some areas are consistently higher than others. This view over time has been most informative. Our false sense of security is gone. The house definitely needs radon mitigation - roll on Monday. And once installed, I will also be able to measure the effectiveness of the mitigation system myself, from the comfort of an armchair. If only they were cheaper! But what price your family's health?

Does exactly what I need!
About a week ago I noticed that our radon fan had died. No big deal, it was running 24x7 for 25+ years. What disturbed me more was that I didn't know the fan had died and since it's not something we routinely check, we simply had no idea - could have been dead for six month or even a year. While waiting for the replacement fan to arrive, I decided to get this radon monitor. My intent was that with the monitor, I could be alerted if the radon level gets too high and then I could investigate and not be in a situation where the fan dies and we simply don't know. Long story short, initially, the monitor was giving readings in the high 4s and low 5s. After tracking down the problem and correcting, it's now under 1.0. This easily saved me lots of money if I would have had to call the remediation company to come and straighten things out. Even worse - I would have had no way of realizing that there was even a problem. So, in my view, it's already paid for itself and then some. I didn't mind spending the higher price for this monitor compared to others out there. I required a quality product that was accurate and reliable. This monitor is well-known for that. Others out there are frequently toys in comparison. Very happy with this monitor.

Reliable and insightful
The Airthings View Radon 2989 does exactly what it advertises delivering reliable radon monitoring while also keeping an eye on temperature and humidity. The calm, paper-like display is easy to read, and the online dashboard is clean, intuitive, and makes tracking trends in days, months or a year simple without feeling cluttered. The flexibility to power it via a wall outlet or 6 AA batteries makes it easy to place anywhere and do a room-by-room test. It also integrates well into home assistant environment nicely. All in all it’s a monitor that works as advertised, adds a few extras and blends practical function with just enough smart polish to feel like a worthwhile addition to any home.

Monitoraggio radon
Prodotto ottimo. Consigliatissimo!
